I was listening in the car to AM talking about our game, he was hugely impressed with Eze he went as far as to say he was the complete footballer and had an excellent game. Great to hear that from an ex pro footballer but of course we're gonna have to keep hold of the kid in January. Fingers crossed.
My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

I love the lad. The strange thing is that today we didn't run everything through him so this was just a standard 7-8 out of 10 game. We're getting used to his continued levels of excellence.

Agree with you Brian, we didn't run everything through him mainly because of BOS excellent performance, but every time Eze was on the ball he was absolutely outstanding.
Great to have a clean sheet and full marks to MW and his staff because you could see the results of the hard work they must have done in training

I was really expecting them to have Pearson on Eze constantly and for him to end up getting clattered every two minutes, but they stood off him so much, it gave him the freedom to bring out the full repertoire. Was nice to see BOS, Pugh and even Scowen joining in with the back heeled passes as well!

Good points.|
I thought BOS was good but I didn't think he was excellent, but he's getting closer. For all of his danger he didn't provide one good final ball that I can remember, so no goal, no assist or no key pass. He remains a work in progress albeit that today was his best day and showed the potential he has. Maybe I'm being too demanding?
I agree that Eze was excellent with the possession he had but because we (rightly, I think) went a bit longer to Hugill he didn't run the show as the fulcrum.

Prem teams only buy in January because a) to try and avoid relegation, or, b) to try and avoid relegation. That means experienced players not untried Championship players to sit on the bench. Eze will still be here until the summer.

I think that's dead right.
If we had any cash to spend this Christmas, would we be spending it on some bright young talent, or on the nearest things we could find to Richard Dunne and Paddy Kenny?
Summer might be different.

I think he plays his natural game more with BOS in the side , the pace of BOS means that defenders are double marking him leaving Eze free to roam and run the game I don’t think chair & Eze in the same side works as Eze is always trying double hard to help cover Anyway enjoy the lad whilst he is here because he will be gone in the summer and he deserves a shot at the big time
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Eze has the knack of making a bad ball to him good . A example of this was a ball out of defence passed high and wide to him , he stuck out a leg brought the ball down and was off. We will miss him greatly when he has gone .
AND WHEN I DREAM , I DREAM ABOUT YOU AND WHEN I SCREAM I SCREAM ABOUT YOU!!!!!
One of those rare talents who oppo know they should mark close but at same time are scared of what he can do if they are too close.
Thinking Grealish last season, Cairney the previous season plus Eze can also go past players. He’s the money that could make this club successful again.

Interesting spot. I must watch that.
Plus when BOS plays, Eze goes more central which is where he belongs.

Eze played well yesterday and overall this season he has done very well.....£10-£20 million I am not sure about though, perhaps if he continues to play and improve we could then expect at least that amount.
He is a natural footballer with a lot of talent.

Eze what a talent he is, a joy to watch. Preston fans I was chatting to in the pub after the game said he was a class act and they panicked every time he got the ball in their half. I feel Eze plays better when BOS is in the side. Eze will have to be sold, hopefully we can keep him until the end of the season and we sell for a substantial fee. Also got to make sure we tie BOS into a long term contract he is getting better game after game. The run he did in the last few mins he took out 5 PNE players and a foot or so more and it would have been a pen rather than a free kick.

Very good point. And makes sense as I believe they were friends growing up in Greenwich as kids too.

Blimey, talk about pressurisation. Deadlines are things for the week. When you're ready, Clive, no rush!
