Wednesday Saturday match thread on 17:03 - Aug 31 with 3142 views | RANGERS4EVER | Don't know where this idea Warburton doesn't have a plan b has come from considering we have now recovered points from losing positions Vs Huddersfield, Wigan and Sheff Wed. Dominated that second half, and a well deserved win. Sheff Wed look useless though

I was critical of Ball first half - a few nervous touches. But he grew into the game and looked far more composed second half - well done Dom.

It's a shame Sheff Utd couldn't get a third today at Ch***** - would have made a perfect day. Can't see Nathan Jones being in a job on Monday. Great work by the Rs - good month overall if you excuse the normal Cup exit.

Yep. Previously we hadn't won a game away from home after conceding first for 53 matches! Albeit it sounded like a soft penalty against the run of play. Well done Warburton and my team. Like the fact he doesn't drop people out of sight, too. Scowen probably really benefited from coming on and doing well to help us get the win.

Wednesday Saturday match thread on 11:18 - Aug 31 by Dorse | I think there will be goals in this one. Our forward-thinking players (BOS, Pugh, Chair, Eze) look capable of causing trouble for most sides and both Hugill and Wells have started the season with winners. My only concern is the central midfield pairing. Centrebacks are going to be pretty obvious (Hall and Barbet) so whoever is the covering midfielder is going to be the lynchpin. If Cameron is fit, no problem: he is a known quantity and his influence on matches is obvious. Anyone else and I worry a bit. Get Mark Prince to do the teamtalk and we should be alrght. 2-1 to the good guys. |
Fair play mate.....you called it spot on!

Wednesday Saturday match thread on 17:28 - Aug 31 with 3223 views | DWQPR | Great win, wished I’d gone now. Just watched the highlights and we do look more than a decent side going forward. Shame the international break is in the way. Could well turn out to be a pretty exciting season. Swansea top of the league and but for a bit more luck in front of goal we could have seen them off quite comfortably as well. Onwards and upwards

Actually, except for our win at Stoke on opening day, I am pretty sure we have been behind in every other game, including both cup matches. While a win is a win, that is not a statistic that MW will want to see.
