The day I make my first trip to Spo.... sorry the Crown Oil Arena, to use my shiny new season ticket is fast approaching.
So any tips on making sure I have a memorable (for the right reasons) day, will be much appreciated.

Apart from the game being a little disappointing although pleased with the clean sheet and point. I had an enjoyable visit for my first trip. It was hassle free getting to and from the ground. The two pubs I went to were good. The Inn I stayed in was very pleasant and the vista fantastic.

Hi James, the potential social side is something we've been aware of - behind the scenes at least
You're under no obligation to make yourself known, and if it helps, I prefer to watch the Dale in my own company these days, rather than having to put up with sometimes annoying chatter from friends or acquaintances. Others are different, and for many years I followed Dale with friends, just not now
Can I make one other suggestion? A little more detail would help. You'll not be familiar with the players, but was there anything about the game that stood out for you, i.e. that you weren't expecting, or about the ground, or the town? | |

Considering it was a derby it didn't seem like either team played with fire in their bellies and determination one would have expected.
I was not impressed with the bar situation at half time fancy booking a wedding in on a derby day. (I suppose money talks). Prior to the game it seemed to be well run and a pleasant atmosphere. I was struck with how no one jumped the queue at any of the pubs. People are not always so polite down south. | |

I can only speak for myself, and I would definitely take pictures of a new ground. Certainly nowadays when you carry a camera with you via your mobile phone. I would be surprised if James didn't. | |
