Although HP Lovecraft were formed and recorded their first album in 1967, this track in from 1968.. but it's a classic of the psychedelic era of which they were very much a part. Used to listen to the first album when I lived in a flat in Earls Court early 80s, owned by a young woman who claimed to be a witch. The entire flat was painted black, apart from my bedroom, which was white. Many bongs were smoked. Now I've set the scene, here you go:

Excerpt from a teenage opera or Grocer Jack, was my favourite in 1967. Now I tend to lean towards some of the others like the Who, Small Faces, Kinks and Motown.
