Probably the greatest the CH to ever play for us in my opinion.

Nothing to do with bankruptcy at all.

These guys are VC. They will strip down costs, remove all high earners and anyone who isnt absolutely necessary off the wage bill, cash in on assets the best they can and replace with cheaper alternatives. Do the bare minimum to keep their investment afloat while pocketing the surplus. Throw in increased commerical revenues and bingo.

Very much an American sports concept, difference being here there is relegation.

The previous owners did exactly the same thing.. but we're a club run by fans for the fans MUN.

It's those pesky Americans!.. selling Eder, Paloschi, and loaning out Grimes, Gomis and Bartley.. plus they're considering to sell a 31 year old CH for 10 million pounds..

You're all unwell on this forum mun.

Sorry, im having a bit of a melt. Im sick of money ruining football.

Tbh, there isnt much difference, yet. But i have this horrible feeling that these are businessmen who are here for the money and nothing more. At least you knew the club meant something to the previous board (at least up until the sale). For these two its just the balance sheet which matters. Kaplan is well respected in FS circles- distressed debt in particular (im sure youve looked him up and what that is), and i reckon you dont get there unless youre a bit of cutthroat chunt. Im genuinely fearing what is to come.

We probably need 3 or 4 new faces. More if Ayew were to exit. Can you see us pulling that many quality signings out of a hat in 2 weeks cos i dont.. and FG seems pretty pissed with life as well.

I think too many people have been blinded by the idea that the Yanks were going to come here and bankroll us. That's why the usual fair seems to be so much worse now, IMO.

Everybody should made to read, and digest your "value for money" post, in the Joe Allen thread from the other night. Most sense on here in weeks, amongst the total fu*king mayhem.

My feelings too. I would love it for some smart arse to point out at Christmas when we're doing a Leicester, how wrong we old cynics were. Barrow firing on all cylinders, Amat running the show in defence and McBurnie the new Vardy. But if that were to come true our investors would probably sell them in the next window.

As it stands we are weaker now than we were last season and we struggled last season. If I was a betting man my money would be on us going down next season

We've got better manager and coaching staff than this time last year, and less dead weight dragging down the first team.

We're not in a strong position but compare it to the mess we were in last October-November.

Monk gone, Shelvey gone, Gomis gone, Taylor hopefully replaced by Kingsley...

We were very confident this time last season, look how that turned out.

Could win the league good chance if champions league or a cup winners medal.
Good luck to him always gave 100 per cent and his performances for wakes will continue.

I'm getting myself ready for Gylfi and maybe Ayew. That could be 50 million in the kitty and quite a packet for Guidolin to play with.

Fair enough but it's an absolute mess at the moment. We've still got time to sort it but I'm not very confident
