Will miss his presents at The Liberty, a player who rarely left the field following an injury. One that often played with injury's and his pre kick off talk was inspiring before every game it seemed to me.
His place is going to be hard to fill. Although over the past few years we've hung on to him by the skin of our teeth.
Good luck Ash, and thanks for the memories.

If this is true then we really have lost the fcking plot.

Not just another club? An utter fcking embarrassment to be honest.

It's ok though, we have won all out pre season friendlies.

I'm going to bed.

Thanks Ash.

But if you want a silver lining this eliminates the possibility that Ash really loses
a step or 2 and awkwardly finds himself in a position where FG feels obligated to play him at the expense of the clubs success on the field.

All the best if it's true.

Been a brilliant servant. Best buy ever.

£10m is too much to refuse for a 31 yr old centre back.

On paper, £10m for a 31 (almost 32) year old player is a good deal, but he is (was!) captain of his club and his country, over the years he has been a colossus for Swansea City and a really effective leader and he is going to take some replacing. Having regard to what he means to the club and the hole he leaves, I don't think £10m is enough.
The board now have to move quickly to replace him otherwise there is a risk that the more talented players who are left will feel the club is not matching their ambitions and they will also agitated for a move, a trickle of departures could become a flood!

We are 2 weeks from the start of the new season and 4 from the end of the transfer window, there's a lot of work to be done if we want to have a competitive squad that will be able to hold its own in the Premier League.

He's 32 in August.

We aren't in a position to turn down £10m for him. One of the best paid players at the club too. Allegedly...

No excuses for not signing a decent striker now.

£10m for one of our top earners will look good on the balance sheets.

Amat and Fede will do fine.

Our second team smashed west Ham 4-1 at the end of last season. I'd say that means our squad is pretty competitive. If we didnt make another signing I still say we stay up.

Not a lot for such an influential player. Leicester are demanding that for Ulloa who's not much younger and started 7 matches last season.

Stones 50 million Ash 10million. I know age comes into it, but one proven, one prone to more mistakes. Are prices right?
