Anyone actually watched this channel yet?

It would seem no one has CJ. Either that or Bay TV are soldiering on manfully unaware that nobody can tune in.

Every time I knock it on it's just full of people playing jazz from the Swansea jazz festival. I thought it was going to be like US public access.... Was looking forward to a Townhill version of Wayne's World

Well still diddly squat here. As I said previously my antennae is pointing to Kilvey but never mind how often I retune I get nowt in relation to Bay tv. Made in Cardiff continues to reign supreme. Grrrrr.
Any Freeview viewers managing to pick it up? I live near the Hungry Horse in Dunvant and generally the digital signal is pretty good. If you are able to pick it up can you tell me what the station number is on your listing? Thanks in advance.
Seem like our local TV remains up against it from the off.

Sorry I can't answer that one but can you get Made in Cardiff on Virgin? Or Sky? Can anyone get it there?
This would be a nice one for our local politicians to get their teeth into if MIC is available on all platforms yet BTV is only available to one man and his dog on Kilvey Hill!

Strange post. Althoihh rhe smiley face gives it some substance i guess -) I just want to take a look at the new local TV station, and the bias in the media is the other way - against Swansea. I am surprised you can't see that.

I have selected the channel a few times and it has been wall to wall Swansea Jazz Festival. If you check the EPG it shows Swansea Jazz Festival on all day and night.

It sounded like someone had recorded it via their phone at the back of the audience, the quality was poor

This was over the weekend not looked today.

We are the first Welsh club to reach the Premier League Simples

Sounds pretty crappy. I have even checked out MIC a few times and it is pretty poor but at least they have some variety. I was hoping for Americam style local TV where a camera crew turns up for everything local. Some local news with a local slant would be a great advantage.
Seems BTV is a long way off that but it is never going to happen if the vast majority of the local a populus can't even view it.

That's all BBC Cardiff ever show. That, or they hang around High Street until they find someone homeless and put a camera in their face for an interview. Seen very few interviews conducted in Splott/Tremorfa.

I was amazed when I lived in England how much higher English people rate Swansea than Welsh people - because their media isn't constantly betraying the city as a Dickensian slum.

I have been saying the same for years......but even the local media/press are unwilling to voice their opinion strongly!

BBC Cardiff are so inward looking it has convinced Welsh people that only by focussing all attention and investment in Cardiff will Wales move forward. 😠

There you are, but who is bovvered eh😂 We have a premier league team and the most wonderful beaches 👍

Swansea City-Officially the best football team in Wales-FACT

Look a bit closer to home it's the local Council that has killed off our City, Parc Tawe, St David's, the monstrosity when David Evans used to be, I could go on and on, and people are blaming BBC Wales

Do the council decide how much funding they get? Or, if the council had a St Davids, Cardiff Bay, Millenium Centre, Sofia Gardens, Millenium Stadium, etc etc built for them (costing over £5bn), would they suddenly be venerated in the same way Cardiff Council is? It's amazing what you can do with endless funding. The press extolls how great this is for Wales, and how little old Wales is carving a great, idiosyncratic identity through Cardiff and all these wonderful events in Cardiff that are 'good for Wales', despite none of us seeing any benefit besides Cardiff. Thatcher's 'trickle down economics' in practice.

Cardiff controls all Welsh media, so they control public opinion. Down to little things like calling the Cardiff City Stadium the home of Welsh football (even before it became officially the home ground - merely because it was in the capital. Think of the Mirror calling the Emirates the home of English football), and then everything that's bad that happens, our media just blame on Westminster. Funny how there's always funding to keep building new, stunning buildings in Cardiff and pay huge organisations to occupy them, but there's not enough money to fund the rest of Wales. That must be Westminster's fault...obviously.

The council even tried to block Parc Tawe being regenerated because it'll threaten our city centre regeneration plans, but the WAG overturned that...funny eh, it's almost like they want it to fail so we all continue to spend our money in Cardiff...

Part Tawe and St David's were planned and built long before the Assembly was even built, the point I'm making is that successive councils have done more damage to Swansea than the Luftwaffe

Yeah and were both successful, as was Swansea City Centre (relatively) until the WAG built one of the largest shopping centres in the UK less than an hour away, and refused to back any regeneration plans for our city. I don't think our council has been infallible, but there's only so much you can do with minimum-to-no funding. When you have everything built for you by a benevolent/myopic government, intent on turning your city into a city-state, then it's amazing how 'successful' you suddenly become.

How about wrapping up the broadcasts a bit early in the night, for those who need to be somwhere in a hurry.

They were successful, when? I'm sixty years of age and remember them being built, Parc Tawe was christened the sheds from the very beginning, an absolute eyesore, I have no time for the WAG, but let not absolve the City council of blame for the disaster our Centre is

And I'm in my thirties and well remember Parc Tawe being full of shops. Yes, they looked ghastly because we have to build things cheaply, but in the 90s it was full - both sides of the road.

And again, town, when has it ever been this bad with such high rates of vacant properties? Never before devolution. You can draw a direct correlation between devolution (and thus, the billions spent in Cardiff), and the city centre here.

I dont believe we can lay the total blame at the door of WAG. Swansea city centre began to detrioate once the Quadrant was built. High Street immediately began to lose shops, ever since successive councils and their officers have done more damage to the centre of of this "ugly, lovely, town" than the luftwaffe during the 3 night blitz.
Allowing the creation of the "out of town" shopping at the enterprise zone initally earmarked as an "industrial" zone, Fforestfach, the creation of Parc Tawe it self with no alignment to the Quadrant or the St Davids centre whihc was built in the early late 90s. The David Evans redevelopment was supposed to bring in new flagship stores but that never happened. Our council can never decide what is the best traffic system,I hav lost count of the number of times Wind Street has been one way, two way or pedistrianised the Kingsway is a shambles,We had our chance in the late 70's and eighties to build something on par with Cardiff but what did we end up with? Cardiff Bay cam way after our Marina but it thrives, take a walk around the South dock now its not very inspiring commercially. But then its all been a Cardiff conspirancy
