Trilobites were the first creatures to have eyes, but those eyes were made of calcite, a type of crystal.
Leroy Fer can only sprint in the direction of the opposition's goal. A rare genetic abnormality (Phillips Syndrome, a type of chronic laziness) physically prevents him from sprinting towards his own team's goal.

Hippo sweat is pinky red - OK what they secrete is not really sweat, it's a pinky red oil that acts as a skin moisturiser (they are very prone to sunburn), water repellent and anti-biotic but it looks like sweat to the average passer-by.
The bird we call a turkey is called a Hindi in Turkey, and a Peru in India. In Malaysia it's called a Dutch Chicken. In Egyptian Arabic it's called a Roman Chicken but in Syrian Arabic it's an Ethiopian Chicken.

The atomic density of Plutonium is 19840 kg/m3 as a solid. This is not the fissile material Plutonium 239 used in atomic weapons.
And to all the Government agencies that have now just tuned in, I hear that Leroy Fer, Sandro and Stephen Caulker have all been seen consorting with a shadowy figure known only as 'The Claw'. Make of that what you will.

Animals won't eat another animal struck dead by lightning.
Yes. Predators are a bit fussy when it comes to food. Lightning is roughly 1000000 volts. So, when lightning strikes, the animal gets electrocuted, and so tastes burnt. However, scavengers (vultures and whatnot) will eat pretty much anything.
