This clashes with training for the Gaelic Football team I manage so I'll be recording this and watching it late Friday Night and attempting to sync it with a delayed reading of the match thread...so, ahm, chat to you all on the match thread on Saturday morning.

I'd be obliged if someone could post the following comments for me during the game

KO - C'mon my teeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeam!
3 mins - We're looking tight
4 mins - The extra work on the training ground during the break's paying off
17 mins - Ok, Rangers, step it up
37 mins - Going through a quiet patch, hmmmm...
43mins - A disappointing half given the promising opening four minutes
44 mins - GEDDDDDDDDDDAFUGGGGGGGGIN!!!!!!!!
88 mins - Gone quiet again....double-hmmmmm.....
89 mins - Bollix - Their first shot on target and they score....
92 mins GEDDDDDDDDDAMUDDDAAAFUGGGINFUGGIN!!!!

Thanks, all.

Sadly not feeling as confident as I was before Brentford game so will be keeping money in my pocket.

Forced to predict a score I'll go for the popular (with us) but boring 1-1.

I fancy us for an exciting 2-1 win, Ron Chery and Seb Polter to come up with the goods again, King Karl Henry to get motm and a blinder from Alex Smithies. That'll do.

2-2

I see them denying us all the points relatively late on, but we all depart feeling the result was fair.

I'll probably do a similar thing to you Brian. Last weekend of my Vietnam holiday and I can't see myself getting up at a-quarter-to-what-the-fcuk to listen to a weak Internet signal. The game has all the hallmarks of an enjoyable evening so it'll no doubt turn out to be one of those famously unexpected stinkers (hope I'm wrong obviously).

Going to throw my hat into the ring, I reckon QPR will slaughter em!

5-1 QPR, Washington brace.

Very nice mate, thanks, nearly over now though and the back to reality bit is always a massive challenge.

Have to admit the weather has been mainly stinking for the last 10 days since we moved north. Big difference compared to the south this time of year regardless of what the travel guides tell you.

DRAW!!!!

Sons' first proper night game at LR but previously two in League Cup went horribly. One late KO against Cardiff City went well. Youngest has only seen us lose once in FA Cup away to Trees, despite him normally only going to away games.

Lots of records to be set or blown away... us to get four wins at home on the trot or Boro to have four defeats on the road

Probably all points to a draw, which for a televised game is not too bad.

Unfortunately, I dont have faith when the words Sky are mentioned. 1-2 Boro

Slow start after international break (we have lost after every one this season??).

1-3 to Boro - Chery sent off.

7-0 to the R's. There Cockney rhyming slang of a manager will wish that he didn't return. BFG's first hat trick in the hoops and Denzil will get a couple as well including an overhead kick from 12 yards. Other than that the game will be dull and boring.

Middlesbrough have a poor record at Loftus Rd. Their players are only thinking about what night club they're heading to later and how much London crumpet can they score with. This fixture is just getting in the way, 2-0 to the R's.

First night game? Man, that's a special feeling! The deep green and the bright lights. the special buzz and the misty breath....

Had a Boston Red Sox baseball game on while working yesterday and the commentators (who ramble on delightfully like the Cricket radio crew) were interviewing the Red Sox President and all three reminisced at length about their first games as a kid, and their first night game. Heart-warming stuff.

Have a great night. Hope Rangers win it for him.
