Thought we could all do with a bit of cheering up, so what little ditty would you pick as your exit song? The rebel in me would go for So What by the Anti Nowhere League, but I reckon I'd nick this one picked by my old man - raised a wee smile on a tough old day...

I would say weak become heroes the streets as it reflects a lot of of what many of us experienced at a certain point in tine.
The other one I would chose is expansions Lennie Liston smith.
Two cracking choices.... "Then the girl in the cafe taps me on the shoulder, I realize five years went by I'm older, Memories smoulder winters colder, But that same piano loops over and over and over....." Somehow Mike Skinners stuff just works
As for Lonnie Liston Smith. Pure. Fcukin. Gold
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

and finally
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime." (Mark Twain)

Not sure about mine but my Dad had this at his funeral service, he loved his golf. First time I've heard it since then and it brought a tear to my eye.
As my coffin is carried into the service, one of my favourite melancholic yet uplifting house tracks - a fitting name, and a lot of my 'Frankie thread' type mates will wink at each other - prob go for one of the beatless versions:
...then as I'm carried out in the box:
...and finally as I'm chucked into the plot:
Pre-prepared party playlist for the mother of all wakes - strict instructions that it must be played from beginning to end with no fast forwarding

Danny Boy sung by Frank Patterson. I'm not Irish and I'm not called Danny, but I want maximum tears at my send-off, and I'll be fuc king livid if there's a dry eye in the house when this gets an airing. Failing that, I wouldn't mind going down the travelator to The Grange Hill theme tune.
When I was fairly young my neightbour died, and at her funeral they played Unchained Melody. Heavy, heavy stuff!

My Grandad died recently and as he was in the hospice in his last few hours a friend of ours put some music on to try and relax him and the first song she played was Please Release me, he gave a look to suggest we should turn it off.
We went with Sailing, Ten Guitars and Handbags and gladrags at the funeral.

The best bit of music ever. Attendees cry their f**king faces clean off.
Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.
