New Swans Supporters Group 07:06 - Apr 29 with 2725 views | Aber_Jack | For anyone interested we are hoping to set up a new Swans Supporters Group in the Lampeter/Aberaeron/Tregaron area in the next few weeks and we have arranged an informal get together for anyone who would like to get involved for Sunday 10th May at 7pm in the Vale of Aeron, Felinfach, Lampeter, SA48 8AE. If we get a good response and turn out then it should allow us to consider setting something more formal up which will help us all co-ordinate anything locally that is Swans related such as ticketing and travelling to home and away games plus anything else that the group would like to do. We would also like to actively encourage the merits of Swans Trust membership within the group and also focus on getting families and local youngsters involved as future Jacks. Further ahead maybe we can try and get the club to assist with some sort of junior ticketing schemes for selected future games when the increase to stadium capacity commences? Phil & Jim White have been very helpful by pointing us in the right direction and although Jim will be in London that weekend for the Arsenal v Swansea game on the Monday night he has kindly agreed to give us some help in getting us going if we have enough interest in setting something up. We now need to push ahead with promoting the idea a bit more. As this is the first meeting we cannot really gauge how many might be interested so it would be appreciated if you can email me on frithwen@aol.com or text me on 07966 598716 if you think you can come along? If you can't make it to this initial get together but would still like me to put you on any future mailing list if we do manage to set up a new group then let me know. Any suggestions that members of current Swans Supporters Groups have for us on what to look out for would also be very welcome. Finally, If you know of any other Swans supporters in our area who might like to get involved please ask them to get in touch. Many thanks Dave D

Well done Dave. Maybe others seeing this will start similar groups in other areas. Maybe they already exist.

New Swans Supporters Group on 12:20 - Apr 29 with 2397 views | perchrockjack | Indeed and maybe subsidised transport might be in order.its now a case of U.S. Ensuring wecarecthe club for west and mid Wales as well as indigenous and exiles jacks. We have massive potential and enough to blow this small club crap to pieces. We re on the cusp of truly big things , bigger than anything else in Welsh sport. I just hope the board ensure we maximise our efforts to achieve pre eminence in Welsh sport. This will or should mean obliterating the lie that is Cardiff city

Agree with nearly all of that. Build the expansion ffs
New Swans Supporters Group on 13:37 - Apr 29 with 2278 views | Uxbridge | Do be honest Wolves are a much bigger rival in that neck of the woods than our beloved cousins are. Plenty of Swans support up in Aberystwyth too, and not just the student variety.

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

New Swans Supporters Group on 15:11 - Apr 29 with 2185 views | Dull1Thomas | Up in Newton, Llanidloes & Machynlleth there are a lot of Villa fans (relocated families) and of course the Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester brigade. Quite a few Wrexham and Chester fans hanging on too. I don't know of any Cardiff fans in the area although quite a few went last season more for the day out or to see the away team. I've offered a few (adults) lifts but then they have problems getting tickets. Maybe something the club should investigate but the journey does put off all but the hardy and life long supporters. BUT we see loads of kids with Swansea tops. The down-side is they have names on the back like Bony, Allen, Vorm, Chico, Micho & Leon. Not really embracing our future and not sure many go to games.

Seen plenty of cars with Swans stickers and people in Swans gear. Know it used to be the MAGS around this area, not sure if they're still running. It's closer to a lot of away games than home (about a 2hr drive to the "Cathedral of Football.) Villa/ WBA/ Man U/ Citey/ Liverpool/Everton and Stoke RFC are less. Hope Narrwch don't get promoted- that's a bad enough trip from Swansea!
| If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious. |

Spot on. The stadium expansion is needed and fast to ensure many more groups are set up. When we are I a postion to welcome extra fans the club should seriously consider subsidised transport. They should not be put off if buses are not full in the first instance. It would merely be a pointer to an increased marketing strategy in the area. When is the Grangetown group going to start? ;-)

New Swans Supporters Group on 13:03 - May 9 with 1583 views | Aber_Jack | Thanks for all the positive responses to this. Early indications are that we should have a decent turn out tomorrow evening but still room for more if you can make it or want to get involved. Dave D
New Swans Supporters Group on 19:21 - May 9 with 1412 views | owainglyndwr | I was working in Machynlleth when Man city played their last champion league match. One of my work mates a Cardiff boy asked at the bar if they would be showing the match and the landlord turned around and said that they were all swans supporters in here. Good luck with your supporters club
