Let's all laugh at the Agenda Boys on 16:34 - Sep 3 by _ | Lis, For someone who has stated quite recently that you "quite liked" Laudrup you don't half make a point of doing your best to rubbish his achievements. Personally I'd like you to stop that. You and everyone else that for some bizarre reason like to have a pop at him. It's always the same on here. As soon as a player or manager leaves us we wish only bad luck on them and revel in making threads about how they will face a life of doom and despondency on the football scrapheap. Check out Laudrup, Vorm and Davies for recent examples. You can do what you like on here, I know you will say that in return and of course that's your right. I'd just like you to, that's all... |
At least most people wait untill they leave and not rubbish them whilst they're still here.

I think LL has moved quite rapidly on from the repeated I "quite liked" strategy employed in the early days of the immaculately timed entry to posting on this site. One of a number of transparent ploys, nonetheless interesting to observe.

I'm not rubbishing him ? I'm just 'anti rubbishing' Monk. Spratty keeps on saying that Monk was instrumental in getting rid of Laudrup and I believe this to be untrue (which is not the same, by the way, as saying that Monk and other senior players liked him - I believe that they didn't and thought training to be disorganised and not structured enough) but I don't believe that's more than a single reason amongst many that he went. As you say, and it is correct, I liked Laudrup, but that doesn't change the fact that I thought he had to go when he did (I would have said a month earlier possibly). The two things are not inconsistent, since the performance of Laudrup himself wasn't consistent. Similarly, in rubbishing Spratty's bile on Monk's part in it all, that is not being anti Laudrup or rubbishing his achievements. The reason that it is all getting 'muddied' is 2 fold in my view. One is that people being generally supportive of Monk (like I am) are seen as being 'against Laudrup' which is not true. Secondly, Laudrup went from having a wonderful first 8 months or so (pretty much up to the cup win and the game with Newcastle after it which took us past 40 points) to having an absolutely dreadful record after that. It's not rubbishing the first 8 months to say that the next 11 months was terrible - it's just what it was.

Let's all laugh at the Agenda Boys on 16:11 - Sep 3 by Darran | Phil seriously mate you're an intelligent man clearly one of the most intelligent on here so please don't tell me that the poison and accusations about Monk Spratty has posted on here since Laudrup went out the door are the postings of a supporter. Don't forget Monk was never my first choice I was the first person to ever mention Paul Clement but there's having concerns and reservations and there's being a downright poisonous c*nt clearly wanting him to fail. |
Never your first choice ha ha That seems like a quite wide interpretation of not wanting Monk anywhere near our club as a manager Do you think the lies and abuse you posted about a manager that had achieved so amazingly for us was a positive thing for a supporter to do?

That's strange as I repeatedly asked IS to stop stalking me but he just could not help himself - lots of proof.

and you have once again failed to answer the direct question - which 'more than 1' pundit said Monk was disrespectful of Laudrup. I did like Laudrup - up to cup win was fab. Second season was dreadful - I don't see why this is so difficult for you to understand? There is no ploy - I can't understand your motivation at all. Would you genuinely have continued to employ a manager when our performances were terrible?

Which means Monk could suffer the same fate after a "too-good-to-be-true" start. I think we are all getting way too carried away on that front. Personally, I also think that Monk was making a lot of "noises" while Laudrup was manager. He was no where near the first team and his next contract would have been, well, what?

He was going to be on the coaching staff whether Laudrup was here or not.

I wouldn't object to seeing that proof as it happens. If you say replying to you or quoting you is 'stalking' then bang to rights m'lud - a forum full of stalkers. As for this 'rape' thing you appear to be drumming up, I challenge you to find any examples of me expressing those kind of vile opinions as my own - shouldn't be too difficult whilst you're mining you're libraries of evidence against me (stalking anyone?). If you can find one example and present it here I will write you a £100 cheque and post it to you made out to rape charity of your choice. If not I will accept your apology and admission that you wrong on this occasion.

well of course he could? No one is saying anything different. I have said all along, in a completely consistent fashion, that he wouldn't have been my choice but that I was going to support him and not make judgement. That's all that I have done. In fact, no one has said to my knowledge that he was their absolute top pick and they thought he'd be brilliant. Only 2 opinions have been expressed - people with the same 'let's give him a chance' as me and people like Spratty who have slagged him off from the start without giving him a chance, largely because he has the temerity of not being Laudrup. And as I said, I think Monk (and many players) didn't like him - that's not why he went though.

Let's all laugh at the Agenda Boys on 15:31 - Sep 3 by Spratty | Oh I see I am not allowed to credit achievements Perhaps you would like to produce some examples of the poison beyond comparative stats for those that were dissing our historically achieving mangager and concern at Monk's part in disposing of said manager and lack of respect for said achievements that was even adversely commented on by more than one of the pundits. In fact even when I was concerned that more experienced manager should be considered for the post (remember when you said you did not want him anywhere near our club as manager) I also pointed out that of course he could be a great success and have continually made it clear that I obviously hope that is the case given our success depends on it. Some of the lies and bile you have told however against our historically achieving manager, who is an important part of our history tut tut. |
You can't win mate. "He" has spoken!

Wrong about what? Please be precise and read what I have written I used the rape thing as an example of the victim being presented as the cause As in this "horrendous thread" where you intimate it is my fault on a thread that Darran started and on which he so vilely abused me for politely giving my opinion he was forced to remove his comments. Yet as usual you are there 4 square behind him blaming me.

As someone else pointed out earlier, it's not even as if we have a game this weekend to help break through the fog of insanity that's descended on the board. It's strangely compelling though, and, like touching a sore tooth, I can't help but have a look at the threads concerned when I know it's going to be painful...I just caught up on today's instalment, and...oh my... The Internet, eh? good work.
