Watched that too Wizz - late night - but what a national treasure she is, actually first time I had heard that cover of Rocket Man which was superb (ironically as her own songs are so differently good) The Old Gray Whistle Test repeats make me feel so old but so glad I grew up with proper music - as an aging progressive rock fan with punk leanings the 70's were just the best!

Agree that it is an excellent channel and does give some nostalgic value for money in all areas. I have been enjoying the coverage of the Proms this year.

It has the most consistently interesting programmes going but if the Tories win the next election further cuts to bbc funding means it will have to be shut down.
Best for science, history, nature, music and foreign dramas.
