For varying reasons I'm not confident enough to get out and about on my bike, so for the next couple of months I'll be using my indoor Turbo Trainer. I'm mindful that at the moment I'll be training based on time rather than distance, so want to get myself a decent milometer. Any recommendations?

Apologies if this has been discussed but I can't find it.
I'm sure I saw something on the screens in the ground about a charity bike ride on the last day of the season from the ground to crystal palace in 2 days - leaving on Friday may 22.

Orite Robbie I've had you ride reports from Strava, but I can't seem to be able to reply, plus it didn't work yday or today on trying to record my rides, it started but somehow then stopped recording, I'll try it again next out, but if it fails again, Im giving up on it. |  |

Hi mate
It can be a bit sensitive on mobiles need to get the GPS locked on before you start riding and then just leave it til the end. I use a garmin now as they are more accurate & reliable but I do ride 3 or 4 times pw. Don't give us as it's also good to have a visual record of all your rides so you can check back and compare times or map out new routes | |

No not yet, Im afraid to venture to far cause I'll end up getting lost, Pacemaker knows a few of them I'll have to try and get out with him, maybe Saturday this week, my lad is playing footie at half 2 though, so notsure how long I'll be able to stay out, ain't seen him play this season yet so I'd like to get out and see him this week. | |

For anyone after new kit I recommend the Cycle Surgery shop at Snow and Rock in Mcarthur Glen, Bridgend. Got a Mavic soft shell jacket less than half price today.
Most clothing for road or MTB is about a third off the best prices in mainstream shops and signicantly better than online prices.
They also sell accessories at discounted prices. | |

Some good bargains there Max and the sizes are more for us athletic types. Loads of Endura, Mavic, Specialized, Altura, Seal Skinz and Adidas. I think it's a good mix of road and Mtb.
I will be back up the Foel soon Max I am home that little bit earlier than you and it's nearly light enough to get up and back.
Been doing about 50 -60 miles every weekend and getting one or two turbos a week in. Those hills don't get any easier tho! | |
