After West Ham United won against Leicester City 2-1 at the King Power Stadium, Saints now have to endure a final day nail biter.
It has to be said though if any team in the Championship facing a must win game at home could choose the side that they would prefer to face, it would be Coventry City, with respect to the Sky Blues who are just about to finish their worst season since being promoted to the old second division in 1963/64, they not only have been relegated, but have the worst away record in the division, winning only 1 game, drawing 6 and being defeated on 15 occasions, in those games they have scored only 13 times and conceded 35, thats the fewest goals netted by a long chalk and not far off the most conceded.
In contrast West Ham face Hull City at Upton Park, the Tigers are a tight side on their travels, winning 7, drawing 7 and losing only 8 times, yes Hull have only scored 18 on the road, but they have only let in 20, so it will be a hard task for the Hammers, who in fairness arent great on their own turf of late.
So the job for Saints is clear, we couldn't play a worse side than Coventry(again with respect to them) we need to get the job done quickly, score the goals that make the result beyond doubt early in the game and put them to the sword so that nerves dont come into it.
