McDaid enjoyed a mixed loan spell with Lincoln City of the National League in 2015-16, scoring no less than four goals in 16 appearances. He could potentially make his debut for the Minstermen, who have failed to win since September, in their away match to Eastleigh on the 12th November. McDaid joined Leeds from NIFL Premiership side Glenavon in 2014, but he did not make a single appearance for the first team during his two-year stay in West Yorkshire. The striker has now moved to York City on a deal until the end of the season. The 20-year-old Northern Irishman was a free agent after his departure from Elland Road.
