Thigh's the limit for Byram? Friday, 1st Nov 2013 19:31 A thigh injury is likely to rule Sam Byram out of tomorrows clash with Yeovil. The problem has troubled Byram for six months now and the feeling is he may miss tomorrow's clash with Yeovil, Marius Zaliukas could be in line for a debut following his signing last week. Following a shambolic defensive display at Huddersfield Brian McDermott may shuffle thins round at the back with Tom Lees a likely fall guy given his own goal last weekend. If Sam does sit out then at least we will have Alex Mowatt to marvel at, the 18-year-old is likely to add another appearance to a series of eye-catching displays. Mowatt has a growing reputation of providing assists and it remains to be seen who he will be creating chances for? Matt Smith scored in Kirklees last weekend to make it 3 in 2, but Dexter Blackstock on loan from Forest scored as a sub with his first touch. It seems likely that it will be either one of those to pair with Ross McCormack up front, my hunch is Smith will curse his bad luck and McDermott will unleash Blackstock for his full debut. Lets face it, Blackstock all round is the better option although I'm not in the anti-Smith camp because I think he has done okay for us so far. Yeovil will be buoyed by the 3-1 downing of Nottingham Forest last weekend and it is thought Gary Johnson won't be making many changes as Yeovil come in search of their first goal at Elland Road never mind their first win. However I think we will run out 2-0 winners, Blackstock and McCormack my bet for our scorers on what will be Norman Hunter's 70th birthday bash.. Old "Bites Yer Legs" will be presented to the crowd before the game having turned 70 on Tuesday and I'm confident the man who made 540 league appearances for us between 1962-1976 will go home a happy man.
