Jordi Gomez says he knows what to expect in Tuesday's FA Cup tie at Histon

The Swansea City midfielder will travel with his team-mates to Histon on Tuesday night looking to progress into the fourth round of the competition and a tie with either Bristol City or Portsmouth.

It will be the first taste of FA Cup action for Gomez and he insists he is tough enough to cope with the tactis that Histon will throw at them.

Speaking ahead of the game, Gomez said "I know Histon will be physical and there will be lots of contact - but I'm ready for it.

"There is contact in every Championship game so Histon will be no different.

"Their players might try and target me and if they do I won't let it affect my performance.

"In fact I hope they give away a lot of free kicks because that will help us to score.

"I'm sure the atmosphere will be hostile and Histon will try to stop me playing but I won't retaliate or lose my focus.

"People will be looking at me because I'm one of the new foreign players at Swansea and it's my first FA Cup game.

"But I'm really looking forward to the match and I'm sure we'll be OK"
