Leon Knight was signed from Brighton & Hove Albion for £125,000. The 5ft 4 inch striker will be a very good addition to the squad; he is very quick and has a good eye for goal.
The 23 year old has made appearances for the England Under 17, 18, 19 and 20 sides. Knight made one appearance for Chelsea - coming on as a substitute for Gianfranco Zola in a Uefa Cup game in 2001 against Levski Sofia!!
The last time Leon played at League 1 level he scored 26 League goals for Brighton, which included the winner in the Play-off Final against Bristol City in 2004. Knight has struggled at Championship level, scoring just 9 goals (5 this season) for Brighton.
