Never been more ashamed of being British than I am right now. The lean to the Right will continue. Soon the Houses of Parliament will be set on fire and a young person of low intelligence will be framed for it, you mark my words. We have already started accepting the unacceptable. My Grandfather would turn in his grave if we hadn’t cremated him. I can accept the stupidity and cantishness of the English to some extent, but the Welsh.....sheesh! The Nazi party took power because good people either stood by or just went along with it. Facking ashamed. |

Ah yes, the ‘democracy’ argument again!
Apparently it’s wrong to suggest that a very badly worded question with no thought for the ramifications, backed up by proven lies, promoted by people and organisations who will profit greatly from the outcome and achieved by breaking numerous democratic rules is, in itself undemocratic. Then, unlike the ridiculous number of times the same questions can be put to parliament in the off-chance that more MPs have changed their minds/been convinced which side their ‘bread is buttered’/bought off, it is preposterous to think it is fair for the people to have changed their minds and that a better worded referendum question, with full knowledge of what Brexit looks like would be actual democracy in action!
If you haven’t got the attention span required then don’t vote.
How many of the 52 out of 100 voted that way because of the lies that were spouted?
I can’t abide the argument that the vote in 2016 was the greatest democratic exercise in our history.
How any decent Welshman/woman/Brit can get taken in by Johnson/Gove/Farage/Francois/right wing newspapers and not realise they are dangerous and in it for themselves is beyond me.
Any person or organisation in Britain that has backed this ridiculous movement that is proved to have profited from brexit by ‘going short’ should have all assets stripped like you would any criminal and their proceeds of crime. If Boris and the Conservative party is proven to have taken ‘donations’ from Russian entities.......... |

The name Wallace, as in ‘William Wallace - (Braveheart)’ is derived from the same Anglo Saxon term meaning ‘foreigner or outsider’ and as such we are the only nation called ‘foreigners’ in our own country! Tinges of ‘Barbarians’ and the Greeks (only inverted).
Yes to ‘Cymru’ and get rid of the Three Feathers, ‘Ich dien’ and the Prince of Wales insult at the same time. |

The Sussex’s marketing department is going into overdrive. You wait for the American bint making a trip to a certain underpass in Paris so that she can be photographed shedding a tear whilst communing with the spirit of her erstwhile Mom in law. She will then make a whistle stop visit to the Taj Mahal.....
Two other points:
1. She’s doing a great job of being black while being demonstrably white (I know her Mom is black and so is her ‘best friend’) but she can truly be all things to all people!
2. Keep an eye open for another baby swap on their kid. The original was too close to home and the current one is a bit fugly for fam photos |

Agree totally. Politically I’m in the same atmosphere as you Prof. I might have said before but, though I find it distasteful in the extreme I will vote LD next time around. We need to reset British politics. The ERG/Brexit boys club need to be put back in the Nanny Whiplash darkrooms they call home, and the Far Left neo Scotch Cattle need to sod off back to the smelly ‘squats’ of their banner waving youth. The reasonable right and the reasonable left should link arms with the LD (we can suffer 5 years of them) and restore order. |

Parties change with the personnel. I would have never thought I could vote Lib Dem after their betrayal of their policies just to share power. The alternatives however are now even more unthinkable. BJ is a serial liar and political opportunist and I can’t fathom how a semi intelligent person can ignore all his short-comings. Corbyn is a clipboard jockey at best and his performance as leader of the opposition when sitting across the way from a series of awful PMs is an embarrassment. Government is only as good as the Opposition and right now, both stinks. |

I’ll be voting Lib Dem for the first time. So will my wife . She is historically Conservative and I’m historically Labour (if I was living in Wales I would probably be Plaid). We need a major reset in UK politics and a slap in the face to the big two is needed. Cants to the left of me and assholes to the right and here I am, stuck in the middle.......:
The only two people outside of immediate family that I have talked to about the political world we live in have said the same and will end up voting Lib Dem.
Conservative and Unionist party my arse. The end of the UK!
And anyone who follows Corbyn (who employs Abbott) needs their head testing. |

Knew him for years. Was a great mate of my brother. Never knew him being anything but a genuine, likeable lad. Bumped into him in the Flamingo and Firkin in Derby when he was their first £1 million player and he was just as grounded. Lovely guy. One of our own done very good. Some are trying to score points here when a lad has messed up. Have a word ffs. |

Stopped because England and Scotland considered it to be below them as Wales and NI weren’t good enough. The last year of it saw N I win, Wales 2nd, England 3rd and Scotland 4th !!!!! Not good enough, my hairy ring piece!
Typically, the ones who bleat on every year on the ‘my sport is better than your sport’ topic are the ones who just don’t understand the complexities of rugby or had a more pointed lesson in how useless they were at sport when they played it that one time in school. I suppose it’s easier to hide on a football pitch than a rugby one.
It helps if you have played both (I have). The beauty of the two parts of a rugby team (forwards and backs) working well off each other can be breathtaking.
As Mr T said in the A Team “I pity the fools who can’t understand Rugby Union” .... I think. |

Played in the youth team under the great Mr Mike Slee that won everything (League, Brewers Cup, Sevens and Presidents Cup.) Though I didn’t play in the Sevens side as I was a plodding donkey from the second row.😬 That would put me there around ‘83-‘85 I think. Then played a little for the seniors before going to college. Happy days. |
