During his 42 day spell as manager of Leeds Brian Clough told hs players not to worry about Stan Bowles

Love the Creedence reference.
Saw John Fogerty at the O2 earlier this yesr.
He was brilliant
He has bought his back catalogue back after a long and nasty legal battle.
Which saw him fall out with the other band members and he didnt speak to his brother for over 30yrs

Early 70s.
Sunderland came to HQ.
Cant remember the match or the score.
But do remember 2 mad Sunderland fans on Shepherds Bush station attacking people with knitting needles.
A fight ensued then the police came and took them away.
When i enventually got on the train i was talking to a sensible Sunderland fan who asked me .
Did they have their front teeth, because in Sunderland every one who likes a fight hasnt got his front teeth.
Its a badge of honour.

The instantanious brotherhood or sisterhood of seeing an Rs fan anywhere.
About 5yrs ago i was in Weston Super m
Mare, walking along the prom with my wife. I had an Rs tshirt on.
A man with 2 small children saw me and shouted across the road
URRRRS done a fist pump and put his thumb up..
That made me smile.
Many times when i have been driving i have had felliwsv Rs in other cars honking or flashing or waving as they drive past.
We are like an extended family.
61 yrs a Rangers fans remember all the thins highligted on here , but havent seen ( might have missed it ) a reference to ZAMORA day. |

I was in a queue at the bar.
A man in his fifties asked for a beer and a tea for his dad.
The server reached for 2 glasses.
The man said " you must have misheard me i asked for one to be a tea.
The server said " This is QPR we dont do cups". |
