I really don't see why most of the senior players should play for Wales. We know what they can do, time to give the fringe/youngsters a chance to stake a claim.

OK, for balance, I recently finished Eeny Meeny by MJ Arlidge. It was highly derivative, and I loved it.

The 2016 Assembly Elections: Which way will you be voting & why?
at 14:41 23 Mar 2016

Good to see Plaid make gains in the latest YouGov polls. Need to keep this up.

Can I just say one thing: you're not voting for Leanne Wood (strictly speaking), you're voting for Plaid Cymru, and their manifesto for this Assembly Election.

Labour will continue to do what they've done for almost two decades, which is run Wales into the ground with regards to health and education, and by continuing to centralise investment to Cardiff and the SE. Rhodri Morgan said last Sunday (Sunday Supplement, Radio Wales) that Labour would think about make a deal with UKIP. Is this a risk one is willing to take?

The Conservatives...Just take a look at what's been going on in England for a taste of what will happen in Wales should they get elected here; the problems they've created with junior doctors, proposed academies. And not forgetting the real possibility of selling off the NHS. Their leader is anti-EU. Can we really afford someone with such ideas to be in power in Wales, when we benefit by quite a lot from our EU membership. (I'm not saying the EU is perfect here). The Tories would also make a pact with UKIP. Without a strong Plaid government in the Senedd we will not have a strong opposition to the Tory UK Gov. Carwyn Jones has been out of his depth here.

Yes, Plaid are an unknown entity, they've only been in power as a minority, but remember: the phrase "better the devil you know..." doesn't apply here. We know what Labour have 'done' for Wales, and we've seen the Tories at work during the last 6 years.

There's only one way to find out if Plaid can deliver what they're promising and that is to ditch the failed Labour approach and the unjust Tory approach, and vote twice for PC.

All Carwyn Jones is is a regional manager who reports to his boss.

Absolutely, CJ. They really have taken their voters for granted, especially those outside of the Cardiff region. Swansea hasn't seen such investment ever.

Plaid , I really do believe, will redistribute the wealth throughout Wales. They have to because they know that I'd they don't, they'll lose massive support, from the 'casual' voter and from their 'core' voters.

We'll also see the same centralisation of wealth under the tories, and they'll also being all the woes currently on view in England currently.

'The Oxford History of Medieval Europe' and 'The Black Death' by Philip Ziegler.

Do you have any recommendations?

I found history to be absolutely insufferable in school, but now...all I have to do is read an obscure fact about some priest or other and off I go.

One of my aims this year is to read more non fiction. I find medieval history fascinating so I've just ordered a couple books on that subject.

I'd have Dyer back, but the other two have been as bad for us as Kevin Amankwaah.

Out of 3 imo. Gylfi, LEON and Ash.

I don't think any of those 3 played better than the other, but I'd say that Ash has been most influential, especially in the second half of the season. He's leading the defence a lot better, chipped in with a couple of goals and has made some impedance challenges. Since his performances picked up, we've become much better defensively (although fat from perfect!).

We'd be fecked without Gylfi's goals and Leon's tenacity and impetus in midfield is what our game is built upon, and has definitely helped our improvement.

Difficult to choose, but I'll go with Ash by a whisker.

Just about to stay Shirley Jackson's 'Wer Have Always Lived in the Castle'.

The last book I read was The Killing Lessons, which was a fantastic read.

You don't have to be a nationalist to vote for Plaid. I'm ambivalent towards it these days; I can see pros and cons of independence. However, I'm voting for Plaid because I truly believe them to be the party to help get us back on or feet. That's all that is important right now, and Plaid share this thought also in the fact that they've have not uttered the 'I' word once during their campaign as part of their manifesto.

PC's ultimate goal is obviously independence, but you don't have to agree with that to be 'able' to vote for them. IF they're voted in, and IF there's a referendum on indy, then you can still vote 'no' to remain in the UK. As far as I'm concerned, all that is important is Wales prospers. Whether this is within the UK or as an independant country within the EU, I truly believe that Plaid is the only party with the vision and manifesto to deliver this.

I'll be voting for Plaid. For me, they genuinely have the most exciting and forward thinking plan, for the whole of Wales, and this is key in my boring for them in May.

I got disenchanted with them after the election last year and was in a bit of a limbo as to who I should vote for this year, however, given the alternatives are; labour, who are joined at the hips with the tories re: austerity; the conservatives, who I can't support on principle; lib dems, who, after 2010, broke all sorts of trust; ukip, because, well, must I give a reason?; and the greens, who I would vote for, but their manifesto isn't strong enough to govern, imo.

There really is only one choice for Wales tbh. Plaid isn't the same stinking elitist party it once was.

If you must cast a protest vote in spite of the 'establishment', then best it goes towards Plaid, and not a party seeped in homophobia, racism and xenophobia (UKIP).

Jo Nesbo is excellent.

Just started The Daylight Gate by Jeanette Winterson. Really only a handful of pages into it so can't comment much, however it is about the Witch Trials of Lancashire. last book I read was le Carre's The Spy Who Came In From The Cold. Just excellent.
