Even Man City who are renowned for their passing ability with some top players injured even with the league top scorer have lost their last 4 games. What hope do we have without a player even getting into their reserve side of succeeding
In my opinion he booked several of our players but a limited booking of Newcastle for a similar or more serious offence. I don’t think officials are fair in being neutral they tend to be biased to the bigger team. Or should I say with the most money. One never knows what little bugs hidden from anyone could have on officials not only to saints but every small team
I agree with Southampton ref on his thoughts on Elyounoussi why do managers keep picking him. He has not produced any thing that makes him stand out. He has produced nothing outstanding in any of his games. He is most of the time like the invisible man.
All teams study their opponents especially their goalkeepers and they all know now that instead of trying to go to the far post with our keeper coming in from the wing just go near post and you have a goal. Also shoot hard straight at him and it bounces off of him. How many times has Haselnut got to see it before he changes the keeper
Why is it when I watch saints they seem to flag after about 70 minutes. I watched Man City last night they where it seems still running and passing right until the final whistle. Are saints as fit we know not as gifted but they seem to me to lack the fire and enthusiasm and fitness of the top teams. There is no togetherness and team spirit from an awful lot of them. There are no leaders just a lot of sheep.
I’ve followed Saints since the mid 1940’s back then even though the Skates were in division 1 many people would support both sides. Going 1 week to Farton Park and the next to the Dell. It’s only in the late 60’s did the mental rivery took over. I think more from them as they were dropping and we were improving.
Don’t forget most City players are in the World Cup. They won’t want to risk injury just for 100 points. A few hard but fair tackles early on let them know your on to them might make them think. The World Cup puts them in the limelight 100 points for something they have all ready won not so much.
I hate the thought of VVD going to scum of the premier League but who of loyal supporters of Saints would turn down not the offer of greater club or glories but £180.000per week against what we can pay. I have supported Saints since I first saw them in 1946 but we have always since that time lost players for extra money or supposed glory. I always believe it’s for money only now the difference is so vast. We will never have another Le Tiss I’m sorry to say money always talks
What about Alf Ramsey Bill Ellington Neamie as goalie Ted Bates as both player and manager beats McMenamy who deserted us for Sunderland where you won’t find a person who likes him
