Watch me rise up and leave, all the ashes you made out of me – Report
at 18:27:11

Thank you, Clive, for #LoftForWords throughout this season, which keeps our sanity at times, with our beloved QPR. Who would have expected Friday night? Under the lights at Loftus Road. There is no better. Other perilous times spring to mind and memories of a past end of season 6.0 against Palace. Thankfully no visit to Coventry with our destiny out of our hands. Dire memories of April 1996 at Highfield Road. Look further back to 1980/81 and the arrival of Terry Venables. In Marti, do we trust and may he be the catalyst to take the R's back to better times. We have taken the highs and lows over a lifetime but that is the joy of QPR. Come on u Rs.

Stan Bowles – 1948-2024
at 21:49:26

Thank you, Simon. My first ever game at Loftus Road in November 1975, was to witness the only goal scored by Stan. He was an absolute maestro of football in the 1970s. A shrewd signing by Gordon Jago in 1972. A magical and memorable QPR career. His name and memory will be forever with us at QPR.

Dave, Your time and dedication to #LoftforWords is an invaluable conduit of detail, facts and how it is at our beloved #QueensParkRangers. A historical archive and wealth of everything QPR. Don't we all know the joys and desolation of what it is to follow our club. The highs and lows. You manage to convey this in the written word and that is the pleasure to read the ups and downs. Continue the journey and wherever it takes us, the readership will be there. Come on u Rs. All the best for 2023.

QPR cling on to top flight status after amazing day of reckoning — report
at 21:42:54

An epic and thank you, Clive for all your reports over the past season. Somehow Sunday had all the expectation that there could be some form of surprise but somehow that was my heart rather than my head telling me. Jamie Pollock and that goal in the 2.2 that sent City down and kept QPR up was perhaps an omen for the good. In fact, that incredible last visit to Man City for a 3.1 victory with the Rangers away supporters in a scaffolding stand. The curry that night in Oxford Road tasted extra special. However, roll forward to 2012 and a different City side after £1 Billion of investment. Were we the lambs to the slaughter? An atrocious away record and the last trip had been a calamity. Cometh the hour and cometh the man, Mark Hughes clearly had a plan and our team rose to the occasion. To have won would have exceeded all expectation and would have caused the biggest upset all season. Cisse excelled but it was the goal by Jamie Mackie that caused the biggest surprise. 10 v 11 and QPR had against the run of play created a score which City looked unable to turn. Some comment should be made about the sending off and clearly there was no question about it. A straight red and deserved. It was shameful and let us see what action Messrs Hughes and Beard take. It was unacceptable conduct and a 10 match ban seems likely if not more. The future is dire for a player who acts in that manner. Back to positive matters and with the Rs 2.1 up before 5 minutes of extra time was announced. City equalised and then I seem to recollect the Five Live team mentioned that the QPR bench were celebrating as clearly the Stoke result was confirmed. This must have filtered onto the pitch and the players, as you said lost concentration for a split second and City scored their winner. Something in me say, what if QPR had held on and won the game against all the odds. Without doubt, it would have been the most memorable game ever in the history of our beloved club. It still was epic and Premier League status was saved and the objectives of Tony Fernandes for the club can be implemented and we consolidate for 2012/13 season. Come on you Rs.
