Trust me, Joe is a superb shot stopper, but unless he has changed in the last 2 years is nt vocal enough, does nt command his area enough for his height, and does nt come off his line enough. I really hope things go well for him, but having watchdog him extensively at the Posh, and followed his limited displays at Cardiff, I am not as overjoyed as many on here. |

After his initial speech about everyone pulling together and including the fans in that, he has totally disregarded/ignored us.Now I know there has been mitigating circumstances , but to alienate us totally I think is poor on his part, and he soon has to change that for his own sake, because if the team get off to a slow start the flack will soon be aimed at him as well |
| Forum Reply | Anyone heard the name Joe Lewis as new keeper? at 11:24 5 Aug 2014
I have extensive knowledge of Calamity Joe. brilliant on his day, but always prone to a monumental clanger. could nt even get in the Posh team at the end of his spell there and we' were not sorry to see the back of him. his Cardiff appearances have been limited to Cup games which included an embarrassment for Joe at Northampton and defeat at Macclesfield I think . Was highly rated in his England U 21 days but lost his way. Lovely lad though and you can't wish to meet a nicer bloke, which is not a good trait for a keeper. |

Only problem with this one is Cardiff are not a premier league and posh never had a keeper on loan from them last season! maybe thinking of Joe Lewis who posh sold to Cardiff 2 years ago, known as Calamity Joe which says all you need to know really. |
