Some of you lot are a very paranoid and deluded breed. You really do think everyone who has an opinion which doesn't fit the agenda being driven by the current regime is either Bottomley, someone connected to Morton House and now Hornets Chairman
Anyway i'm off out with my good lady and the family to Blackpool so bye for now.
It’s common place with Internet forums for people to hide behind aliases and their keyboards while pushing agendas for club officials. RAFC Blue and a few others do this well for our current regime. Its obvious on all threads not just this one.
Cutting through the BS however and let’s be honest we can shake buckets and put as many smoke screens up as we like, anyone with half a brain can see we are up the creek without a paddle. It would appear a no win situation with Morton House as they will likely either spank us in court and then god knows what happens, or we will have to settle out of court for significant sums we haven’t got meaning even if we do survive it could set us back further than we already are, and we already going backwards at a rate of knots.
Now with the above in mind the current deflection strategy seems to be diverting away from what we are doing to Hornets and their supporters. I and many others who are close to both clubs feel Hornets are being seen as an easy target and the usual suspects here are now shamefully using their Chairman to try to deflect away from the disgraceful way Gauge & Co are going about trying to shaft a community club and tenant with over 150 years of history and sporting heritage in our own town, a town and community we claim to be a focal point of…..
For the avoidance of any doubt Rochdale Hornets aren’t enforcing these restrictions, on the contrary the entire situation has been and continues to be created and driven by Rochdale AFC. Deflect all you like this is fact and I suggest you ask Gauge and Co why?
In the process of doing what we are I fear we are in danger of alienating sponsors of both clubs not too mention politicians and councillors who we will most likely need the support of in the next stages of our ongoing troubles.
As they say the truth will out and I cant see it being long before it does and don’t see it ending well. I just hope we aren’t opening ourselves up to more legal action.
I’m afraid I won’t be giving this current regime another penny of my hard earned till they do the right thing and leave Hornets alone.
I will say it again it’s an Internet forum not a court of law. You prove what I’m saying is wrong as my opinion is worth as much as yours and everyone else's here.
Your right about the council and it’s support of both clubs. Further strengthens the opinion that we should be being seen to be supportive of Hornets and indeed everyone else in our community if attempting to brand ourselves as a community club and club of people.
The direction our club is taking is clear and we are going down quicker than a tramp on chips.
We should be respecting fellow community clubs and working together not alienating them and intern damaging our standing and credibility within the local authority.
You can try and deflect away from that all you like but that’s the top and bottom.
Unlike the guy I responded to who is clearly a puppet of Gauge and Co and deflecting hard while being on here 24/7 I don’t have the time or inclination to be trawling the internet in such fashion as I have a life.
Just get off your keyboards and go out and talk to people in the town.
Wouldn’t know the guy if I fell over him but people in the town are saying nothing but positive things about the current board and progress Hornets are making since a disastrous 2019 under "fan ownership".
Ask Hornets fans in the town about do gooders running clubs and fans in boardrooms. Sports clubs need experienced operators and investment if they have any level of ambition in any sport at any level in my humble opinion.
One thing that is for sure they don’t seem to be going down the pan as quickly as we are under our current chairman and board and they ain’t out using begging bowls and scrimping and borrowing.
A lot of deflection since my last post here but I'm told by some very reliable sources in the town that the RL club are doing nothing wrong at all and we are out of order in the way we dealing with them. I believe this to be true as senior people in the council are monitoring it.
Here is a thought......Maybe the RL club are up to speed on all payments and agreements and aren't doing anything different to what they have for the past 6/7 years under the current contractual arrangements ?
Maybe our current administration are getting desperate? Maybe they are realising football is an expensive business and a place in a football boardroom comes at a price? Maybe just maybe the RL club has done nothing wrong and we are trying to screw a customer and community partner as we are skint and desperate? Now i do not know but just imagine???......
All i would say in terms of direction of travel the RL club seems to be doing alright in difficult circumstances and good luck to them.
But and its a but as i am surmising but if we are going to preach about being a true fans / community club and wish to be a pillar of the community then maybe we should make sure we try and endear ourselves to that very same community and council and treat people how we would wish to be treated?
I’m not privilege to know the current financial health of either but simply working on perception right now if I had to place a bet I know where my money would go if that helps you.
Not a theory as such, more an observation. A company that’s just posted £1.2m losses, is selling its assets (players) to pay bills and keep its lights on, whilst resorting to accepting charitable donations to cover legal bills is hardly flying?
