The Swedish guy is universally rated and hopefully add creativity to the party as well as a fully fit Ginnelly who a gas tricks and pace.

Big solid goal scoring number 9 s are a rarity in UK football and he would be worth his weight in gold if he can put away a high percentage of chances with head and feet and get 15+ goals in the championship next season The price starts at 8 figures.

British soldiers in Ukraine. Would UK get paid for them?
at 17:55 8 Mar 2025

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn893xddz1yo.amp

If 5-10,000 troops ars sent to Ukraine would the HMG be compensated by some sort of international fund?

Would it come from a NATO affiliated budget

At present the UK military do training and exercises and fully funded by the UK taxpayer. Is Starmer keen on Uk milliary in Ukraine to offset costs and help with the budget . Wil Germany Italy Poland and Spain make a " cash contribution".?

Burnley full-back Roberts signs contract extension
at 17:37 8 Mar 2025

He has lined up a little retirement gig here on Swansea like Joe Allen did and will ask for £15-20k a week when he spends half a season on the treatment table.

It was Connor who said he wanted to return to Swansea no one else. Sorry mate it is 2027 and we have Sam Parker who is younger fast and fitter. Try Wrexham

Burley perhaps have offered him £1.5m for 2 year ( £3m) to the aged of 32. Swansea could have offered a long er contract on less money. A four year contact on £750k. (£3m); over four years to the age of 33 -34 and hope he stays fit like Naughton.

It would mirror what happens to Jazz Richards. He had injuries and a good CV but at 32 there was no longer big money on offer and. he signed for Haverfordwest County for a better life on less.

I stick to my arguments and philosophies and perople who dislike my argues our me on ignore. One loser unable to debate even encourages other to put me on iignore. This is weak .

"Do not bother mate he will never agree with us". It is any to democratic. Wales have had one w voice (Labour old school); for too long.

Others that do not like debate b use the word " boring" for unpopular debating arguments. I was thrown ofga lesser forum from or being boring in repeating the Trust were badly y run and need new thinking . I broke no rules. The old sages consensus did not accept other opinions..

This site does and is much the better for it..I do not put anyone in ignore and would never encourage anyone else to either.

Are UK artificial ski slopes necessary or economic?
at 17:21 8 Mar 2025

I once used the ski slope behind Morrisons at Morfa 30 years ago. I did not enjoy the experience as it was nothing compared to snow. I would consider skiing in Eryri with slopes already under 2-3 degree with man made snow.
I recently skied in Bosnia. The temperature were uncommonly mild -4c to +4c in the resort I went to. The thaw was slow enough with freezing over night to allow them to keep the piste open and create new snow..

"Sustrans, a charity that promotes walking, cycling, and wheeling, receives funding from a variety of sources, including government grants, fundraising, and corporate partnerships"

They would most probably have to walk through hoops in terms of governance. It is a job for their board to assess individual contracts. It appears they think they are best choice for spending government money

People who voted Brexit are struggling to transfer the blame which is understandable. The WAG is one target now Labour and environment.

It does not wash I m afraid. Threads are not meant to be entertaining. Brexit was boring and very damaging. The most damaging economic event since WW2.

Euro ope do not need UK that much but now are looking at our military capabilities with interest and more likely to want to be friends again. Trident of course the Germans could cough up a juicy " insurance premium' for cover. UK is good at insurance scam

Presumably as I think about it this may be an attempt to alter the statistics and " level out" racial traits or racial biasses in jailing people. I have not researched the statistics.

For example people of African heritage may have a much higher rates of being jailed per 100,000 than white people. This may be perceived, all things being equal, discriminatory if you assume all cultures have the same mentality and behaviour patterns.

Activists usually present arguments that BAME populations are treated more severely than whites people doing the same crimes.

Such advice may be seen as a dampening effect and will make
the figures look better.

In an ideal world BAME and white people would commit terrible crimes at the same proportion per 100,000 of the population.

This is not how I think but we live in a world of public bodies pouring over statistics to prove success of certain policies of integration.

Drakeford to Increase Income Tax in Wales?

He is not tarred by accusations of corruption from what I have read. This is to his credit. Same with Sunak. Boris however is in deep suspicion of a some very costly unethical actions.

I have not blamed the closure of the Tata works in Brexit. Try reading my posts . I blamed the cancelling of the Ineos factory in Bridgend on Brexit. It created uncertainty and the business reason cited by the company. There is no new Ineos in the wings.

Tata Steel was always doomed. The people of NPT are my neighbours and admitted they " took a chance" with Brexit and now many are now unemployed and facing a cost of living crisis. Free trade with the World has not reduced prices.

The unemployed of NPT did not listen to their representatives but some bloke from Essex or dare I say it Felixstowe.

I have not done much sympathy these days to be honest. Taking a chance with your job and income is just plain dumb.

You do not seem to understand risk. More risk higher profits. Wales is notoriously low risk. The Trust members represent a group that is clueless about " risk". In trying to be low risk they took extraordinary risks and got burned.

CR has fulfilled his potential so congratulations to him. The Swansea dream is over. If he really wanted to join Swansea it was this summer at the age of around 30. Showing up at 32 is no use to Swansea who have to bring through younger players.

When you drive past PT you will notice often the 20 or so turbine on the hill s above are turning but the one at sea level near the Kenfig end is not. Sea level has less wind.

It is clear to me the WAG and Merthyr council and the Coal Board or what ever they are called these days extended the open cast pit in Merthyr and allowed them to dig (with out planing permission) until steel production was ended at PT.

The contractors who will not cover the remedial cost no doubt are thanked by all concerned.

I did a thread on it a while back " a very odd Welsh affair". I called it. Dirty reckless coal miners digging coal without planning permission in the most regulated land in the world? Only the " extinction rebellion" people fave a flying eff and South Wales police arrested them. They were defending the rights of miners to dig coal without permission of the democratic people of Wales.

The miners presumably had had the nod from the authorities and the SWP were in the loop and told to deal with any democratic objections.

In my opinion discussing referendums I'd futile in a time if conflict. Russia has transplanted thousand of Russians into Crimea over the last ade since they occupied it by force.

It is population engineering. Mariupol was Ukrainian and had been demolished and new flats built for Siberian s only. Mariupol was not a place where " pro- Russian dominated. It did not matter they were on the road to Crimea the land bridge. Russians do not care about their own soldiers let along displaces civilians. Referendums ars a scam in Russia

The debtors are at liberty to strike a deal. For example 25p in the £. This represents a a very decent return on investment if they paid 10p on the £.

One could argue all thing being equal serial defaulters are the extortionists. Taking a loan knowing in advance that paying it back was highly unlikely.

Port Talbot has some extenuating factors such as mass redundancies at the steel works.

No nothing shady. People in debt need advice. Sheen has effect cleared £1m of debt for 10p on the pound. The loaning companies ars simply getting some cash for their bad debt accounts.

If you for example bought the debt for £100k you would then go out and try to get back whatever you could from the debtors.. A potential £900k. I is unpleasant work and no one wants to do it.

The people holding the new debt could make a fortune if they could do deals and get only half the debt back. £400k.

People in debt can take advice and do a deal if they are genuinely in financial dire straits due to redundancy or illness .

The time extension of the debt just adds stress to people.

There is clearly a two tier policing.

I raised the issue of Bristol city abusing elderly Welsh shopper's in Cardiff with filthy ethnic slurs. They were singing filthy chant all day without any y pretece of humour or banter. Some were drunk and presumably on drugs.

The FA have charged them on abusive chants aims at Vincent Tan Cardiffs Muslim owner. The Welsh football people have no backbone unfortunately.

How Two Tier is that ? His people complained presumably..

Pollution levels are a function of the weather and the dilution effects. It varies. Hot summers can destroy fish stocks in heat waves due to low oxygen in the water.
