Disgrace
at 17:28 28 Aug 2016

It started from the fans encouraging conrad to go up. As they wanted their team to score and thought we had nothing to lose. Hill disagreed by telling them shut the f*** up, so the fans reacted. Then we scored and made a gesture repeatedly with his arm (no sure what it means), whilst repeatedly shouting F*** off. It wasn't even as though he receiving criticism.

Do you ever see other managers act like this?

How can a manager discipline his players, when he acts as unprofessionally as he did today?

Clueless comment.

Just typical Hill taking it out on the fans as usual. Happens every time we have a bad streak and the pressure builds. Probably wanting to add to the 'distance' between him and the fans.

It all started with Logan running forward which the fans were encouraging. Then he turned to the fans and started telling them shut up (however not as politely as that) then we scored and he started shouting F*** off at the fans. A family with a young girl had to leave because she started crying.

Is the Harrison McGahey and the 'thank you' video from the director working for everyone? I dont have any sound for them, yet I do on all the others.

Lancashire Gone Too

Only Hendo left at the club out of that group. First Done, then Rose leaving and now the two CBs gone. Probably made it a slightly easier decision knowing their mates are moving on as well. Lets hope Hendo decides to stay and continues to enjoy his football. Hope the dressing room isn't affected. Lets not lose any more.

I see your point. However, the ideas are just more as an addition to cheap season tickets. Season tickets cheap for all to persuade the occasional "floating supporters" and reward loyal supporters. And then the ideas mentioned to supplement and boost the crowds even further in attempt to create new occasional " floating fans", out of those who very rarely go. It creates stronger links with the businesses. Encourages more businesses to advertise at Dale and adds extra value to the deal for the sponsors. We get more people to fill up the seats. I suppose it could be seen as rewarding people who never go, depending how it was executed, but just another idea thrown in there to consider.

How about encouraging the businesses we already have partnerships with to come to games (and the ones that don't) ? Offering the businesses who sponsor us discounted tickets for their staff. And possibly their customers. I know the leisure centre in town, offered cheaper gym memberships to Assist Recruitment (JD Sports warehouse staff) staff. If this was available, maybe a group of workers may come down and encourage each other to go, spend money in the bars and at the game. With the addition of a free pint at the Radcliffe bar in the hope they stay and have a few more. Soccer Factory could give discounts to their customers.

Local junior football clubs could be given discounts and tickets (Pennine Juniors/Rochdale St Clements/ Bridge Colts/ Copper Pot etc) could also include schools or school football teams. If some of the kids from the team are going and talking about it, then they encourage their friends to come and pester their parents to take them.

Many students buy bus passes to get to school and College, offer discounts to the bus company so that people with bus passes can get discounted tickets.

Vouchers/discounts to be handed out in local supermarkets with every shop.

Season ticket offer of discounted drinks in our bars.

Would giving out free/heavily discounted tickets to the above work ? If we had partnerships with local businesses surely it could benefit us both. Customers shop there to get discounted Dale tickets, Dale get more people on seats. Discount ideas (buy one get one free/ collect 5 for free ticket/ One adult free with paying Kid/ Half price for football teams 5 for 2/ Team and a parent each child £XX)

In addition: a loyalty card scheme for those who don't go to every game. come to X games get one free.

Used to play at Bamford Chapel at a very young age. He went to Whittaker Moss in Norden, not sure for how long. He has a brother called Archie who plays at Burnley.

Dawson to Scunthorpe confirmed
at 15:29 20 May 2015

Key points are:

Couldn't compete with scunthorpe as their spending big this season

Hill wants a combination of talent and experience. And experience in key positions.

Wants leaders on the pitch

He should have kept peter cavanagh and that he didn't replace him with a genuine defensive brain in midfield.

Him and beech did too much managing this season and needs almost managers on the pitch, who can also change a game

Tom kennedys 'playing the market'. Hill knows that he's been speaking to clubs.

He just wants to recruit key players and not 6-7 players, if we don't lose any key players.

He says it relatively easy for the managers of clubs like Bristol, MK, Swindon, Preston and scunthorpe to get success, because of the spending.

The usual script of, with our finances we should be bottom of the league. and that were punching above our weight.

wants to maintain status as a league one team and build progressively

Port vale chairman gave them a 2.45 mill budget and this season 1.7

great player when fit! I think we will be lacking a bit of grit and toughness now, however new signings may change this. At least we've lost a player in the position we have the most depth in. Looking forward to seeing Lund appearing regularly and getting back to the quality that he has shown us in the promotion season.
