Of course it is. It’s the job of the police to investigate and offer evidence. The CPS decides whether there’s a reasonable chance of winning. If they prosecuted every possible case it would be a waste of public money. |

I wonder whether Reform will now become a proper political party and not a limited company? Up to now they’ll take your money if you want to be a “member” but you won’t get a say in anything they do, any policies or leader. Farage is the majority shareholder and does whatever he likes. |

Labour managed a fraction over 20% of the electorate voting for them. Tories couldn’t persuade as much as 15% of the electorate to vote for them. It’s indicative of the distrust of politicians in this country and pathetic from the two main parties. |

Really? You don’t think Attlee founding the NHS was of benefit to Wales? |

What is the raft? The Daily Mail keep mentioning this without any examples. Lots of politicians didn't like him at all because he went for them over the expenses scandal big time. |

I would say that the minimum wage was a step forward in a deprived area like Wales. |

Johnson (who else?) perpetrated this lie and stuck with I for a while. In the end he had to make a humble apology. |

You’ve got to be strong to put up with the misogyny, threats of violence and intimidation that she has. She resigned from the shadow cabinet over Gaza and still they went after her. When you need a significant police presence at a parliamentary election declaration there’s something seriously wrong. |

It was like winning a football match 5 - 0 when you’ve only been in the opposition half three times. Three goals from three attacks and the opposition scoring two bizarre own goals. |

Labour executed a strategy that saw them put huge resources into seats where they were second to Conservative last time. They barely campaigned in their own safe seats. The result was a drop in support in their safe seats but still winning, and a six percent increase in those seats where they came second last time. Labour also barely campaigned across the south of England where they were third behind the Lib Dems last time. Without saying it outright they implicitly implied that a tactical vote for LD was the preferred option. Whoever organised all this was extremely clever. 66% of the seats on 34% of the vote. Incredibly efficient way to play first past the post. |

Yes, well that was by the kind of people who find strong, independent women abhorrent. |

The whole transfer of power in this country is dignified, efficient and amicable. Compare and contrast with the other side of the Atlantic. |

They have a massive problem. They have leaked votes to Reform in great numbers in the north and east of England. They have also leaked votes to Lib Dems in great numbers in their traditional blue wall southern heartland. Good luck with trying to win both of those (and the soft Labour vote) back at the same time. |

Terrible result for Sunak if he keeps his seat. Hard to be a constituency MP for a North Yorkshire seat from California. |

I suspect that Welsh people will hold their noses and vote Labour in this Westminster election because the Tories need to be got rid of more than anything else. They can differentiate between a Westminster election and a Cardiff Bay election. The next Senedd election in 2026 will be very interesting and the Labour vote could take a sizeable hit, especially if Gething is still in place. |

Only because of Plaid and, briefly, Lib Dem. Labour has never won an outright majority in Cardiff Bay in 25 years. |

He’s not standing either. It has to be a MP that’s leader of the opposition. |
