He's slowly going downhill in my estimation, after I got quite excited way back when at home to Malmo.
The Liverpool match included he seems to be a complete liability, and I was surprised to see him today on the team sheet - him being there actually disproves some of the Laudrup attacks that he is overly conservative.
Cos Shelvey ain't conservative. every time he passes in our half I hold my breath, and even when he passes forward its pretty 50/50

I've given it some thought.
The bloke needs to be sat down and chatted to. He's got ambition to play for England apparently, he needs to focus on his job. If after 90+ minutes he has the energy to goad the home fans especially after a lack-lustre performance then he should not have the energy for all that nonsense.
If he had scored the winner from a 30 yard screamer then fine, but not when you've played poorly and disappointed so many people. | |

Here's where my head is at the moment. From now on, when I see that he's starting a game, I'll change the channel to a chick flick or a horror movie.
I intensely dislike even the idea of watching a chick flick or a horror movie, but if I'm going to watch 2 hours of disturbing crap, I'd rather watch them than the Swans in distress.
And if I can find a chick flick that is also a horror movie, I'll record it and save it for appearances by "The LIability." |  |

Fans can laugh at Shelvey for doing the swim away at Cardiff fans at the end of the game but I for one wasn't happy to see him do that
He was one of the players who I feel didn't put a shift in today and if he showed that sort of passion during the game then he might have played well

As one sharp-eyed poster pointed out last game, he receives a pass, takes 2 or 3 short dribbles while he looks way up the pitch and all around for a teammate - any teammate..
The players who have situational awareness [and most of our players do], know at all times who is where and what they can do with the ball, and unhesitatingly make a pass which will advance the attack, or be in a position to get us out of trouble. | |

Yeah but the head slapping isn't a p!ss take unlike the swim away and it relates to an incident that could loosely be described as hooliganism therefore it will be considered provoking.
