Not sure it's an approach that will bring harmony to the dressing room, but, I totally endorse it. Sounds to me that he is trying to create a siege mentality within the club to keep us up. Them and us. It also sounds as though he is already preparing for the worst. Good on him. A common sense approach at long last. If we go down, who would you rather in charge? Despite the reverse, I'm upbeat. We might be getting our Rangers back. WBA, watch your step, we're up for it

Arry's post match comments on 14:27 - Dec 23 by Monahoop | Oh yeh! Robbie Keane's not a gold digger either is he? That's why he joined the ageing mega bucks crowd like Beckham in the USA. I would avoid having the likes him around LR. Another reason to not want him is that he will claim he supported QPR as a kid just like he supported Spurs, Celtic, West Ham, Aston Villa, Liverpool etc etc. Bloody eejit! |
At least Robbie Keane works hard wherever he goes and a bit unfair to call him a gold digger, he's offered stupid money fair doos. Provided your doing it, Bosingwa on the other hand is just a cnt but then most of us could see we should never have signed him before hand and Harrys absolutley right about it. I find it incredible he's earning more than any Spurs player was last season. What a mess Hughes and his morons created and what the hell were Beared/Fernandes thinking of.

Tony and Beards biggest mistake was believing Hughes was a top notch manager. Once they had that mindset then the writing was on the wall. They trusted him and believed everything he told them which is naive but as mentioned they know little about footy. They bent over backwards to get him and promised him everything he wanted. He only wanted a job at a club with ambition, so they are not likely to promise him everything he wants and then start questioning his judgement on individual players! It's a terrible mess but one which I would say is 75% Hughes fault and 25% the board. As mentioned before know one had come in for Bosingwa in the summer so probably would have bitten your arm off if you offered him a 1 year deal... I am sure Bosingwa does not read this board but if he does I would advise him never to go near loftus road again... I honestly believe the bloke would be physically harmed by someone.
Arry's post match comments on 22:39 - Dec 23 with 1112 views | TacticalR | But is Redknapp saying that mercenaries are bad in general, or merely that the ones we have got are bad and that he wants to bring in his own mercenaries?

Arry's post match comments on 04:25 - Dec 24 with 1071 views | BklynRanger | He's obviously not happy with a large part of the squad he's inherited. The pre-match press conference seemed like a name dropping session of people who can't be arsed - a Portuguese and a Brazilian who didn't fancy the journey, and Englishman and a Frenchman who aren't 100% so, to his mind, didn't want to risk it, and god knows who else. I don't know anything about Traore and Nedum this weekend, but it seemed to me that he was pissed off either with their lack of desire to play through an injury or the medical staff's style or both. And that's just the pre-match. As for the post-match, I don't give a monkeys if he was protecting his own arse or blurting out the truth or (probably) both - facts is facts - if fcuking Ailsa decided he could use our club as a moneypit to pay ridiculous wages to players then he's a kunt who needs done over and TF is a fool for treating an institution like his fcuking plaything.

That sounds about right. I wouldn't be surprised if Redknapp picks Bosingwa as a sub on Wednesday and brings him on early to see how he responds to being called out. If he plays well he'll be trade bait in the window. If he doesn't we won't see him again. With luck other players will get the message. Maybe. For all his affability and willingness to communicate, Fernandes has behaved like a starry-eyed fan-boy ever since he came to the club. The knee-jerk hiring of Hughes (and Redknapp for that matter) indicate that he doesn't have a clue about running a football club at this level, and there's no evidence he has anyone advising him who does either. The long-term worry is not that we'll become another Portsmouth – whose decline was caused by mainly by asset strippers and chancers – but more like Blackburn, where ostrich-like cluelessness in the boardroom destroyed any possibility of success.
