The whole Premiership thing is a joke IMHO. Ludicrous kick off times, matches on bizarre days of the week and moved at short notice with absolutely no consideration for the fans. Not for me.

playing saturday tuesday saturday for six weeks then sitting out for a fortnight for an international break none of your players are involved in gets really old really quickly though.

Maybe I feel it more because I'm writing match previews and match reports for them all but those saturday-tuesday-saturday weeks are an absolute pig and they happen all the time in the Championship. When we'd played ten games this season the division below had played 22 and an extra round of the League Cup.

Plus its over rated!... Appart from 5-6 games theres not that much to get excited about... Its all a bit wigan/west brom/bolton etc etc!!!

mate of mine forked out £70 for train tickets to Manchester for the game at OT, money he's now lost as he cannot get to OT for the Sunday (extyra £10 to change day) for a early kick off from where he lives. Another example.

I'll be honest here, I'm not enjoying the "Premiership" experience all that much. And thats due to number/level of games being played, not because we're losing every week! (Though of course it doesn't help...)
Don't get me wrong, I loved last season (went to 37 of the 46 games, most I've ever been to, and also had the pleasure of Clive nearly falling on top of me in delight at Watford as the first went in, whether he can remember that in the drunken madness though...) and of course I always want to see QPR play at the highest level possible and be succesful.
But to be honest with you, being able to go to football regularly and affordably (only been to 1 away game this season due to season ticket heist/away ticket cost, though last year did cost a bomb but that was special...) means more to me, and if it meant playing at a lower level, I wouldn't necessarily mind that much. Teams go up, teams go down, its the nature of football.
There are a lot of friends I have down at QPR who I only see at QPR due to our locations (the Midlands, Southampton, Gloucester...) and in this Premiership ere you only seem to see them at odd intervals. I know the FL only has 4 extra home games, but I have noticed this season how little I seem to see people compared to previous years.
I can of course, completely understand Clive not liking doing his Saturday/Tuesday/Saturday match previews when you're running a website alongside full time work etc, and people who prefer the "prestige" if you like of what level we play at. For me personally, I just want to watch the team I love play on a regular basis. I've occasionally watch the local sides (Northampton/Kettering) and I do enjoy it on a different level, but nothing can beat watching QPR. Especially when we win though it has been a bit rare this year of course!
Apologies for the waffle

Mr Foxy you were present for one of the greatest moments of my life. In fact I think all the greatest moments of my life are contained within that seven day period. spent the last ten minutes and a good hour or so afterwards blubbing because of all the people I wanted to be there with who have sadly passed on.
Fck that was a great week.

Can't bloody miss myself! Keep seeing the top of my head (the brown hair) directly in front of the camera for the first 2 minutes before all hell breaks loose.
Also think the skinny hands flopping their way across the screen clapping for the sub at the beginning may be mine as well!

my mate Gary and his partner are just behind Clive in that video, great day.
For me though life and the Premier league are what you make of it. Three draws turned into wins and i doubt anyone would be harping back to those great days of losing at Barnsley, Leeds and Palace every year.
Last year was fantastic but we went into last season with fewer expectaions, went to away days for a drink rather than expecting wins and when we won every other week we bloody loved it. When the expectations came around xmas time those of us regular away followers will tell you the away days were mostly crap and full of people moaning and groaning after christmas untiil the last 3 weeks of the season, even at Watford it was like a morgue until that video starts.
This year we expect more, the moaners have been out in force since day one. I've still enjoyed my away days as i've expected bugger all out of the football and got a few bonus days at Everton and err umm well Everton was bloody brilliant
Lets not harp back and pretend that the championshiop is anything other than shit though. 12 years we had in that league, 11 of them were rather awful and 1 was brilliant. I'm not sure why anyone expects to repeat that 1 good year next year rather than the 12 crap ones.
Lets just enjoy what we have now, support the team and see if we can pull off a minor miracle.
if we go down we have all summer to pretend the championship was really brilliant and Barnsley on a tuesday night was always like last year and never a long depressing trip home.

Its not about being in it to win it its about competing. When was the last time we challenged for the title in the top league?Nearly 40 years ago and we still weren't expected to win it. Under Francis we had a superb side that was never gonna win the league but were a pleasure to follow cos they competed were great to watch and won their fair share of games. If we were mid table winning regularly we wouldn't be having the discussion. Sour grapes?
