A few days/weeks ago I created a thread entitled "Joey Barton: a positive leader?"
And I expressed my disappointment for the way he conducts himself and the many stupid things he says on Twitter.
Now this has gone too far.
Some might say Warnock is to blame too for his comments on the media and that Joey was only replying to him on Twitter but here's the thing: Neil Warnock is no longer involved nor has an active part in QPR matters. He is a former QPR manager. He was here not so long ago, but not anymore.
What NW is saying cannot be categorised as something said by a member of QPR (the board, the coaching staff or the playing squad).
That is why, agree or disagree with what NW said, the real problem is to have to read this sort of classless comments coming from our team captain and aimed at the man who made us all very happy, very recently.
Barton has shown no class at all and even if some people might still think Twitter isn't important, he is not helping our beloved QPR at all.
He is giving QPR a very negative image and that's exactly what a team captain should NOT be doing.
To quote The Young Ones: "Squabbling, bickering, like children..."
Can it Barton, can it Warnock, that's more than enough dirty washing in public.
Oh, and if someone wants to tweet it: #stopmakingmyclubalaughingstock #goalsnottweetsorwearedoomed #qprunited
RFA
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
just a quick reminder if barton behaved in a professional manner v norwich we would have won that blooming game and maybe the manager might not have got the sack also barton is friendly with the owner on twitter and i am starting to believe that player power is a result of a successful manager losing his job no wonder he feels bitter. Respect your elders is how i was brought up i dont think that exists nowadays
I am sick of sticking up for Barton with our fans and other fans. All he has done is bring his issues and problems to our club.
I stuck up for him when he
Over reacted and got Gervinho sent off (I know he was with Newcastle) Slagged off his previous clubs owners and management on twitter Stirred up trouble with Taarabt on twitter Got into a childish slanging match in public with Calvin Henry Got a dose of his own medicine against Norwich
He has brought so much excess baggage with him and I am starting to think is it all worth it.
Warnock had every right to question players voicing there opinions on twitter and Warnock deserves respect from fans and players still at the club. One step to far for me and sadly Joey Barton I can't wait until you go off and poison another club.

God how gullible are you, what a slow learner you are
If your not a minor you seriously need to see a shrink. If you are a minor tell your dad he has my permission to kick your as*........hard
Been going since 1968 which i take is a lot longer then you have.
And i need to see a shrink because i'm not still knocking one out about an ex manager ?.
The fact is NW did well in the championship because he had the best players,he did not do that well in the premier because he did not have the best players. He was found out and he proved to be tactically naive.
Fact is everything that Joey has said has been said on here and down at HQ but because it's joey barton the world turns on him.Well bollox to the world JB plays for a team i support and he will get my support tomorrow. My allegiance for NW stopped when TF sacked him.
He is now part of our history like Dave Sexton and Ian Holloway, thanks Neil but move on and stop slagging of my club and players. You were sacked because your teams performance on the field not JB performance on twitter.
mmm.. wasn't it Barton's sly comments about Warnock's ability to manage in the Championship that started this off? He can't stop himself.
i do think JB likes his own publicity, Warnock got him in there, and i cant remember a queue of clubs looking at him.
Mark hughes will only take so much of this.
people are right whats said within a club stays in the club, it serves no purpose other than to highlight someones singular ambition, to get in the public eye.
Warnock should never have signed Barton in the first place imo, probably knowing what he was like. All these playground shenanigans would never have happened, we would more than likely have had a happier dressing room and without these needless disruptions we could be doing better in the league now. NW might well be still in employment, but alas, plotted his own downfall on this one. That greaseball Barton has a lot to answer for. Unless he can start doing the business on the field, instead of acting the maggot all the time, then he can Foxtrot Oscar somewhere else. I hope Hughes is man enough to give him what for if he steps out of line for too long. We need stability and an air of normality about the club again and quickly.

Starting to think that way myself.
We must have been on more back pages than Man City this season and all for the wrong reasons.
I am probably going to be in a minority of one here, but what Warnock has done this week is an absolute disgrace, its like being stabbed by a family member. 48 hours before what is possibly one of our most important games of the season Warnock goes on a PR tour talking how badly he was done by how twitter got him the sack and how he got sacked by text. He might not have come out with straight quotes but the briefing over the last week has been pefectly clear and why even the BBC ran with the story and why its all over the papers.
The truth his he was fired face to face after receiving a text that the CEO wanted to meet him. The Chairmen was out of the country. QPR acted with dignity and praise in all its communications, Fernandes and Bhatia were open and again praising.
The truth is he was fired because we were on a massive slide had thrown away points and his reaction was to tell the dressing room that they were not good enough and he was bringing better players. He had said things about players to the camera that was uneccessary blah blah blah
The point is I dont really care what Barton says in reaction to Warnock, we know what he is like, Warnock and the press have baited him and he has bitten.
Warnock did an amazing job last season but the reason why Lambert got manager of the year and not him , was that Lambert built a team and we were very reliant on an individual.
We are left with the oldest squad in the premiership, the oldest team ever to play in the premiership was us last week. This is not a good state of affairs.
And seriously any actually considering booing tomorrow before such an important important game is frankly a moron
And warnock the media darling has class ? Sorry neither of them should say anything but if I was working for someone who clearly didn't have a clue what he was doing I'd question it, Barton isn't the only player who thought warnock was wrong , trouble is bartons the only one prepared to say it in public .
What do you mean by "trouble is?" There was no trouble. Maybe everybody thought as he did, it doesn't matter. Warnock has moved on, so the question is, why did that clown need to raise the subject the day before our biggest game so far this season?

Because Warnock has been on pr trip this week and all the headlines are Barton got me the sack. Ask yourself why did Warnock decide to go public with all this 48hrs before the game. Granted Barton should not have bitten but dont think Warnock did not know what he was doing
Neil Warnock is no longer employed by QPR and can say whatever he likes, whether we agree with it or not. That's not the point, he feels the way he does and who wouldn't given what he has done.

From what I've seen or heard on SSN, Warnock didn't mention Barton at all. Warnock isn't too bright either, and never has been, but isn't Barton meant to be some highly intellectual philosopher? Maybe I'm getting him confused with some thug who puts cigars out in other peoples eyes?

no he has insinuated and briefed - Warnock is not stupid and he knows how to play the media and got the headlines he wanted
Barton is irrelevant in this really, he'd end up in a fight on his own! I think this is no longer about Football, Its about personalities, Warnock has returned to his sarcastic, challenging, muddled moralist who must have the last word. Warnock no longer has a voice, he no longer has a team, these are the cries of a guy whose has missed the clues for his retirement or a renaissance for many years. Lambert (norwich) and Rogers (swansea) take points off you like thieves and you don't have a clue.....its just a little sad....maybe an apology to Phillip Beard, Tony Fernandes and the QPR fans would get your humility back....Joeys a Cxck! His Rehabilitation will take longer...Thank You Neil, try and leave the scene of your triumph with pride intact...you look like Colin currently.

That makes two of us then, though I actually really enjoyed the team Neil built around Adel, though I assumed Adel would leave at the end of the season and T & C would too. A new owner would have provided cash and player s and Neil would have kept us up, but only by the skin of our teeth. Timing was not good, but I still have enjoyed the majority fo the games we have had this season, even when the results have not gone our way
Cant believe you have not been shot down for suggesting Lambert was a better manager, but I tend to agree with you. I dont think he will actually be at Norwich terribly long.

Brendon Rodgers, Paul Lambert, Neil Warnock, ???? Times change.
For me the brilliant performance is Amit Bhattia to bring us Neil for that moment, its a shame Neil can't see that his job is done.
Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.
The shame is that Warnock's clever red herring and Joey's subsequent reaction has cast a shadow over the real talking points.
Let's put the insults to one side for a moment. Warnock may well have had a right to reply to his sacking but, when presented with the opportunity, spouted complete nonsense. To suggest that fans and players conspired against him and that he didn't see the sack coming is, frankly, laughable and smacks of sour grapes.
Conversely when you cut through Joey's insults there is actually little you can disagree with. The team is more organised and Warnock should look in the mirror if he wants to understand why he was sacked.
I can see parallels with Barton's sending off against Norwich. He wasn't the aggressor but as captain he should learn to walk away from provocation.
Just seen JB's latest tweets. Maybe he should have used that immense intellect to realize that p-ssing off at least 4,500 of the people who pay his wages on the day before a home game was not an effective use of his valuable time. I hope he does well for us, but I expect he will lose the Captaincy. Why? Proven loose cannon.

Well said, I agree with everything you said. I too am not a minor and have going to QPR since 1982!!
We need Barton as a player right now, we need to get behind the team, stop burying our heads in the sand and move on from Warnock... FAST
