If he signs, is this instead of one of Alex and/or Samba, or as well as (believe he can play RB and LB too)?

I'd be surprised if we went for all three. Onuoha and either Alex or Samba seems more likely.

Triple-jump. A little more important info which helps explain the alleged £80k a week justification. "...the co-national record holder for boys under 15 standing triple jump".

Maybe a tactic to get Alex to sign

ONOUHA/QPR AGREE FEE on 11:55 - Jan 19 with 3637 views | Watford_Ranger | It should be a simpler process than with Samba or Alex. He's more likely to actually want to come here and will have lower wage demands. Great signing if it comes off.

I can't believe we've offered him anything like £80k a week.

Was he at Chelsea when they used Harlington to train? Otherwise he may be in for a rude awakening...

Considering he's basically an unproven younger player from their academy it's astonishing to entertain £80K a week.

Agreed - it's probably a lost in translation moment between alex demanding 80k a week and man city accepting a fee for nedum. because lets be honest, if we are stumbling over signing alex for his £80k salary demands then the article about nedum's salary is nonsensical.

There is no point worrying about it there is fcuk all we can do about it, we just have to trust the owners. "Worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do but it doesn't get you anywhere"

I agree £80k a week would be ridiculous and I highly doubt it's true considering we're apparently baulking at paying less than that for Alex. He's not exactly an unproven academy kid though to be fair to him. He has 148 senior appearances under his belt for Man City and Sunderland and he's never once looked out of place when I've seen him. In fact when he was playing for Sunderland last season he was often one of the best players on show.

exactly. Enjoy the ride. Sure if we go t!t$ up we can become afc qpr.
ONOUHA/QPR AGREE FEE on 12:09 - Jan 19 with 3395 views | adhoc_qpr | What about all the stuff about Onuoha not wanting to leave the North-west while his mother is seriously ill? Surely a pretty big complication with getting him to agree to the move? Maybe the Hughes connection is key and the fact he was left out of City's 25 man squad.
ONOUHA/QPR AGREE FEE on 12:10 - Jan 19 with 3385 views | brewers_hoop | This is what PA say... QPR have had an offer accepted for Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha, Press Association Sport understands. The 25-year-old has been little more than a fringe player at City and could now link up with former manager Mark Hughes at Loftus Road. It is understood a fee between 2.5million and 2.75million has been agreed for the defender, who now has permission to speak to the west Londoners. There had been reports of a 3million fee and wages of up to 80,000 per week, but it is understood that Onuoha would earn significantly less than reported. While an offer has been accepted for the former Sunderland loanee, a deal is by no means done as he considers whether he wants to move south.
