QPR based Glasgow R’s here.

Hearing rumours on the Glasgow Riviera that Rangers FC want Marti in for the beginning of next season.

Big big club and a hell of a challenge, be gutted to lose him to that mob.

Surely they wouldn't want to appoint a manager from us after the Beale debacle?

Does the research that the Glasgow Rangers board do on recruitment go any deeper that just typing "Rangers manager" into Google and calling the first name they see that isn't already at their club?

If / when Marti goes, I hope it's somewhere better than Glasgow Rangers. Think he could easily mange at Premier League level. The only attraction of Rangers would be a few european games each season.

He doesn't speak the language, this would present a huge problem.

However, to put them off, I suggest pictures of Marti are doctored by putting a big mole on his face. This should scare the crap out of them.

Absolute football back water. Yes, there are thousands of fans who go, so they have to be classed as a "big" club, but the league up there is getting worse and worse. They are so far behind Celtic, they will never bypass them. They qualify for Europe by default (as hard for them to finish third as it is for any Parachute Club top avoid getting accidentally promoted out of the Championship), but they only last in that competition 'til September every season.

He's leaving for someone much further up the chain that them. Hopefully not for a few seasons though...

Can we go out yet?

The other Rangers.

It's an impossible job.

Years before they catch up with Celtic.

He obviously will leave us at some point but to Glasgow Rangers - no chance !!

A yo yo club - top of championship - lower prem - yes - top level European club - but Glasgow Rangers - why ???

Are a protestant politically pro union football club really going to appoint a catholic Catalan?

Cant see it.

Wouldn't be a good move.

The current version of the club don't have much in the way of finances to improve the squad and still have a massively deluded fan base that think they should win every game. Any manager that can't beat Celtic to the league will be under a lot of pressure.

Currently 13 points behind which is a fair reflection of the gap. Celtic have a much better squad and plenty of money to improve it thanks to champions league qualification and some big sales in recent years.

I'm sure lots of clubs would want him. I would like a 4 bedroom detached house in zone 2. I believe Mick Jagger has something to say about that.

1 - Glasgow Rangers are one of the biggest Clubs in the UK.
2 - Managing or Head Coach in the Championship is one thing but Head Coach in the Premier is a different level, massively different, not so sure he could manage 'easily' in that environment.

Read on the BBC after their match yesterday the current Rangers manager may need to win the Europa League to keep his job despite winning 5 league games in a row.

Can’t stand Celtic and their fans but they are so far ahead of Rangers on the pitch and financially that it could take years for Rangers to get close to them and that is ALL any manager is judged on there. Poisoned chalice I’d think for any new manager unless they already have a decent Rangers connection and credit in the bank and would get more time. Could see Gerrard going back.

It’s possible that none of Paul Le Guen, Pedro Caixinha and the current fella, Phillipe Clement were brought up Catholic, but I doubt it.

I never heard it on the internet.

Nils Koppen lives in my mates close (Google him) in the west end of Glasgow.

My mate wouldn’t lie to me.

Take it as you like, just thought it was good info to pass on.

Even if this is to be believed, and a big if, I would hope that the club have a plan B with regards Marti, as in any of the players that leave

After all eventually he will leave, that is inevitable, and when he does I'm sure he will move upwards. Rangers are a bigger club and it would be a move upwards

But in my mind the club itself I think have turned a corner and possibly already have replacements for Marti in line.

Marti is a commodity like the players. If Glasgow Rangers offer our asking price, which I doubt they have anyway, then we would allow him to talk to them. If accepted Marti moves on and we thank him, pocket a very decent wedge, and we move onto to hopefully another Marti

I think Nourry/the club have set out our stall with Dunne, Sheffield United offered and it wasn't enough, so he didn't go.

Do I want Marti to go, not at all, but for some unknown reason I really think we have got, or at least getting, our act in order. And i'm starting to believe we are on the road to something here now
