Where are the "Nourry out" comments now ??? 21:54 - Dec 21 with 3206 views | numptydumpty | A decent run of form solves a great deal of ills. I was as worried as most with our direction and it truly wasn't smelling of roses around here for long periods. I can't say hardly anyone saw this coming but things are seriously looking much much better. So as for signings Nardi Morrison Varane Morgan Saito All looking good Signings injured but have had few signs of improvement Dembele Celar Youth players progressing well Kolli Lloyd Other signings - some hopes Ashby Madsen Ones that a way to go Santos Bennie Existing squad players performing / injured Cook Dunne Smyth Field Chair Frey JCS Colback Others Paal EDB Anderson Seems a squad that does have more depth than previously if we look at recent form. Was Nourry ster right all along??? And as soon as we have all been made aware of who is injured once when they are due back - has coincided with upturn in form. Suddenly this forum has all gone quiet on the Nourry Out rhetoric !!! Am not being a smart a*se. I was worried about the set up as much as anyone,.. Was the data right all along ?? Where are the "Nourry out" comments now ??? on 22:16 - Dec 21 with 2179 views | Kiko | Nourry still carries some blame for me. Not enough cover in the squad (1 left back?) and still wasted loads of money on Madsen and Celar in my opinion. Even if we admit they have improved, similar quality could have been found for cheaper. I actually think the recent player development and improvement in team performance is a testament to Cifuentes and the job he is doing. I think he's a top manager and is covering Nourry's flaws. Where are the "Nourry out" comments now ??? on 22:18 - Dec 21 with 2135 views | davman | Said it on an earlier thread. Fundamentally there is only ONE barometer for ANY football club - how the first team is doing. Freefall towards relegation and inevitably someone MUST GO. Not Marti, no, so who? The owners have all gone bar Reuban and some bloke we never hear from and they're just putting the money in, so we need them. Hooa and Sir Les have been hounded out to leave us with Dougie Howser CEO. We are being run the same way we were a few weeks ago, the players are the same we signed in the summer. Varane improved, Celar scored so he was alright (2 goals in 20 games...), Madsen improved, but still not worth what we paid, Saito improving, Morrison a revelation. The injured players are on their way back to be replaced by other, newly injured players. BUT the results have improved, so naturally the noise will stop.

Where are the "Nourry out" comments now ??? on 22:32 - Dec 21 with 2048 views | BrianMcCarthy | Absolutely shocking summer of recruitment in my opinion, Numpty. Totally unbalanced, inexperienced squad. Left us in the bottom three for half the season and we've only just gotten out. Off the field his leadership has been chaotic and naive. Unfortnately, just as I don't trust the club to adequately replace our outgoing players, I don't trust them to adequately replace Nourry either. So, for now, I'm just happy that we've played well today. Let's hope it continues in the short term. In the medium to long term I'm still dreaming of the club being run in a professional and competent manner and that would include a change of ownership and the new owners appointing an experienced CEO and an experienced and seperate DoF.

Deffo some mistakes - unbalanced squad agreed. But not all bad. I'm impressed with the age of players coming in - having a couple of 18 year olds good enough to play in the first team plus a 21 year old CB, a good goalie, an excellent DCM who's only 23 all positives. Finding a decent striker is a perennial issue and not just for QPR. Personally I like Saito and think Dembele shows promise. Fullbacks an issue but when did we last have two excellent FBs who we owned playing regularly? Still has to prove himself more but has he really recruited that badly compared to previous execs
Where are the "Nourry out" comments now ??? on 22:41 - Dec 21 with 1978 views | ManinBlack | Let's not get carried away as still a lot of games to be played, we are nowhere near safety yet. Just like England's cricket team where batting collapses are never very far away, another QPR six game losing streak is also never far away. I have seen enough in recent years to warn me that another dead end is out there waiting to trip us up.

Where are the "Nourry out" comments now ??? on 23:04 - Dec 21 with 1840 views | Hastings_Hoops | It’s soooooo much more complicated than a few wins. Nourry clearly has some ability - in terms of intellect, nurture and contacts. He’s not stupid. He’s started his role as CEO and DOF aggressively making some quite sweeping decisions. Many but not all of the decisions he’s made have been sensible - a number of them have been reckless and immature. Communication being one - a young guy who sees the world in black and white / binary - in his mind, why should he communicate with the supporters - I am speculating, but do we think this extended to comms with key stakeholders in the club? It’s clear that someone more senior put an arm around his shoulder and gently suggested that he needs to practice the grey / non-binary side of leadership to underscore the undoubted brilliance that he has. I hope this has been a quick learning kerb for him and that he embraces mixing science with art in his leadership style - Let’s see, but let’s not ignore the fact that during his learning-kerb he is fortunate to have a head coach as capable as Marti and a fan base as supportive of Marti. It could have gone a whole load worse in other circumstances. [Post edited 22 Dec 7:36]

I can't really agree with the statement of shocking recruitment Brian. Nardi, Morrison, Varane, Morgan, Saito and Dembele all shown signs of class and hunger and let's hope Celar picks up once he is back. And we have had a ridiculous amount of injuries to key players. To be fair though when have we ever had successful owners, or the hierarchy from the boardroom. For me, the success is down to the manager but "absolutely shocking recruitment" can't agree with that statement. Many i feel, have been decent and will continue as such.

Where are the "Nourry out" comments now ??? on 01:31 - Dec 22 with 1353 views | Kiko | I think one of thing to consider is that we're only an injury to Paal and another CB away from being in trouble again. That lack of depth is something Nourry is accountable for. Whilat the team is winning the negative comments will obviously be quieter, but I don't think anyone would be sad to see him go.

Actually for the first time for ages, I'm not fearful of going on one of those losing streaks. Of course we will play better teams than Preston, but this recent unbeaten run shows we are becoming resilient again..like at the end of last season. We are also getting a bit of luck for a change. Still need to work on our finishing - as we won't get as many as we did today every week. When everyone is available again, and maybe with a couple of additions in January...I don't see why we can't be knocking on the door of a top half finish. For me to go from accepting relegation was inevitable, to now thinking it could be a more pleasant 2025...is quite some turnaround. I love being proved wrong 😉

I'm incredibly glad he didn't make the mistake of his life in sacking Marti. Question is, how much did the crowd reaction sway him during that awful run, and especially towards the end of it? Interesting comments from Marti today thanking "the owners" for their support in recent times. Nouury ain't an owner.

👍 Madsen is the one for me. £X millions and the bloke can't even tackle. Oh, and the self inflicted left back problem.
