Google search will reveal he's not only a very lucky boy in getting jobs as a football manager, but he also has something very nice to bore to death when he gets home.

Very bad start for Russ. on 21:22 - Dec 15 by KeithHaynes | He didn’t jump ship Res, that’s why it took well over a year to conclude. Including the Chairman changing the date of his appointment to distance himself from his sacking, even though he was Chairman when Martin was at Swansea. It’s nowhere near as simple as Martin jumping ship, the first stone was chucked when his Washington trip was called off because the Americans decided he said too much after a January where the fans and team were let down. Prior to that the Kaplan interview in a London hotel pre Millwall away was the first marker to let Martin know certain people were coming into the club who didn’t want him. All documented on here, and we have never been sued or even contacted about it. Because it’s all true 👍 I won’t go over old ground again, BTW Viktor Gyökeres only scored the one goal yesterday.

That all makes sense & I wonder if Paul Watson was making key staff decisions in Spring 2023? And when did Sheehan join?

Very bad start for Russ. on 19:35 - Dec 15 by ReslovenSwan1 | He jumped ship from Swansea with out agreeing his compensation. Swansea had to go to court get a measly £1m or so after SFC sold £186m of players and picked up Manning for free. He blamed the owners as he always did. Hopefully he is sacked soon removing Southampton as an possible option for soon out of contract Swansea players. |
I assume WalesOnline is your source for this? "jumping ship" Maybe take some time to read Keith's story on March 2023 / June 2023.
Very bad start for Russ. Update sacked ** on 20:04 - Dec 16 with 647 views | swancity | A former manager Russell Martin gets sacked. That’s football and it happens. He’s handled the pressure quite well and of course we all know that big bucks will considerably soften the blow. But some of the childish jealous petty remarks on here are beyond belief. Even comments that bring his partner into it. Remarks about her appearance as well. How incredibly sad and shallow some people are. Get a grip chaps. Football manager loses job. It happens. Why the hatred?

Well it's a football forum and quite a harmless one by most standards, if it's a bit too rough for you, well I can't help that. Slating former players and managers is par for the course.

I happen to believe he had a contract and he should have honoured it. There are some talk of a new contracts and flights booked to USA for talks. Then thing went awry for whatever reason. Someone had a change of mind. Southampton stated there were talks and stated the new manager Martin would sign within days. It looked to the outsider that Martin received an offer and declined the trips after talks with the US people. Another narrative was the US cancelled the talks and were happy to see Russel leave. At least one American was keen on him staying. Mr Silverstein. There will have been some s dissatisfaction with Martin over the January window as Martin wanted a new forward having seemingly fallen out with three already. [Post edited 16 Dec 21:40]

Seems a likeable chap, his football philosophy is costing him though career wise, its always a massive shame when marriages breakdown for whatever reason when there children involved. He was here and it didn't workout it happens, not the first won't be the last. [Post edited 16 Dec 21:52]

Keith's article explained what happened. And most of his remember RMs press conference in early February where he could not hide his disgust at another poor transfer window. It is on YouTube.
