Tyler Morse looks set to take on a more prominent role 14:30 - Nov 14 with 10525 viewsLandore_Jack

Sources across the pond have indicated to WalesOnline that American property tycoon Tyler Morse could well be among them.

Morse, the founder of MCR Hotels, already holds a small shareholding in the club, and his stake is set to be increased as part of the new takeover. The exact value of his potential share isn't yet known, but one source has told WalesOnline that he is expected to take a more hands-on role, and could even be handed a position on the board of directors.

The hotelier recently made headlines for striking a £275m deal to buy the BT Tower in London, which he plans to turn into an 'iconic hotel'. His current portfolio consists around 150 hotels around the world, an estimated worth of £3.9 billion.

I'm normally pretty up on these things but can't remember a hotel being mentioned only new food and drink outlets. But I could well be wrong.

Edit

Did you mean this.

I seem to remember wr this coming up while we were in the PL so this story in 2022 is different.

The story does actually say that the Swans own the land. I take from that they mean the Club and not the council. If that is the case then it's a valuable asset if they were approached by someone looking to buy it for a hotel development.

I would imagine it would pretty much rule out any future expansion of the South. The East is ruled out because of the river, so it would just leave the West and North so no wrap around.

Me again wr.

I went down to County Hall to look at the expansion development plans that were drawn up probably ten years ago now. They showed a three side wraparound (South/East/North).

That's what I believed was the plan. West first then South and North added later with the South cantilevering over new self contained food and drink outlets leased out. I'm not sure if it was in the plans you saw. A hotel build on the ground to the South would virtually eliminate any wrap around, I'm sure planning wouldn't be approved for both. To incorporate both you would need to start from scratch at that end, similar to what they are considering for St Helens.

Edit.
I was wrong about the West, I was sure there was issues with the East because of the river and it was changed but apparently not.

Again you have to read between the lines. I would guess our third season in the PL.

"The proposals seek to capitalise on the success of the football club during their first two seasons in the Barclays Premier League; help consolidate this status and remain part of the top flight for many years to come".

Because people need their opinion/views to be right and will hit every angle to try and justify it.......doing so on a thread that started with nothing to do with their view/opinion.

It's like poison, pour it enough time and it takes over....seen it so many times on these forums and stands out like a sore thumb for me now.

Burnley - 9 shots 4 on target
Watford - 12 shots 3 on target
Oxford - 16 shots 5 on target
Milwall - 17 shots 5 on target
Sheffield Wednesday 9 shots 1 on target

In all of the last 5 bar Burnley, who I think most agree are one of the best teams in the league, we have had more shots (i.e. created more chances) than the opposition. Watford, Oxford and Milwall didn’t come close to us.

I don’t expect it to be like that today against Piroe, Rodon and co, but I do against Derby and Portsmouth.

He’s tightened us up and the back to the extent only Burnley, Leeds and Sheffield United have conceded less than us.

We’re regularly creating more chances than our opponents, accepting that won’t be the case when we are playing recent PL teams with big budgets.

We’re just not converting enough of them at the moment.

How do you feel about Williams not using all his subs when Leeds were running us ragged? And on that note are you satisfied with the general conditioning of the squad?

I thought Williams could have taken Allen of at half time as he was knackered and used all his subs - Leeds were coasting and they used all theirs.

Must remember shots 😂 on target are only if the keeper saves them otherwise if it’s an outfield player they are classed as blocked shots 👍
