Might be wrong but I think it was Tracy Brabin (Ex Eastenders ) who is introducing it . [Post edited 2 Nov 8:40]

Two of my mates were arrested for having excessively noisy fireworks. The police let them off.

On behalf of parents of autistic children everywhere, fireworks can go f*ck themselves along with all those who set them off. Just make them silent. And ban hand dryers whilst they are at it.

He will be able to add to this thread colinallcars the US is top of the mountain when it comes to fireworks IMO. For the 4th of July there are stunning firework displays proffesionally done set to music and its pretty incredible regardless of how people feel about it. Of course there are wan*ers setting those mortar ones off past midnight for days before and after which boil my blood but its so widespread you have to grin and bare it. My rescue dog gets so terrified we get pills from the Vet to calm her down but even still she hates to be alone so I stay inside with the lights off and music on . No issue with New Years Eve or any biig ocassion but fu*kers setting them off just to disturb people is horrible
Fireworks on 14:27 - Nov 2 with 733 views | R_from_afar | Warning: Irresponsible behaviour alert, do not attempt to copy what I am about to describe. Decades ago, when I was young and foolish, a mate and I were heavily into fireworks and explosives in general. I won't go into detail about our home made bombs and the gun I made with my brother. All incredibly dangerous stuff, do not do that stuff, I regret it and it's soooo risky. Anyway, my mate had a house party and he decided to ask guests to bring fireworks, with which to celebrate the imminent New Year. Before the other guests arrived, he took me to one side and revealed that he had worked out a way to "network" multiple fireworks, so a whole batch of them could be detonated simultaneously. Wow, I thought. So, the guests rocked up, we took their gifts and connected them all up, then set them up outside. Helpfully, my mate's house was next to open land so we could position the fireworks such that they wouldn't cause too much of a nuisance. We also positioned "sentries" to warn anyone walking past. The big moment came and my mate flicked the switch. Man alive, the whole lot, Roman candles, rockets, airbomb batteries, all of it went up at once. Thirty seconds of absolute mayhem. As I said, it was irresponsible, I'd never do it again and don't advise anyone to try it but it was quite something.
