I don't believe in anyway we lost out to Millwall, it was a conscious decision not to go for him. I still believe we have someone better coming in

Based on the rumoured fee all in and salary I would say the Swans decided to leave well alone.

Serious question if Luke wasn't connected to Langstaff would we fans have looked for him to come here..

He’s hardly going to show the club in a bad light. I’m guessing ‘We had a look, but the deal wasn’t right for the club (Levien) so we pushed on and have some exciting plans ahead’ ( Due to the fact we don’t like paying salaries in July)

Russell was quite happy to criticise the owners after the transfer window of Jan 23.... How much did we pay for Yates last Summer? £1.5m? Surely we could have competed with Millwall for Langstaff.

I think that January window was a one off...following the decisions to bench must have players in Fisher and Darling and that incredible run without a win I think the owners decided not to give Rusty any more monet to spend.Despite the narrative by many Martin was actually backed heavily until then...

That’s exactly what happened. Then he met with Kaplan before the Millwall game and for some reason it all changed. One more win, and as he proved with backing he can manage a team to promotion to the premier league. That’s history, and despite people wanting to continually emphasise the same point. Like Langstaff, it’s dead, done and dusted. The future albeit unwritten is what we should all be about. Positively.

Less than 2 weeks before we have the pre season matches. Were we not supposed to have the nucleus of the squad in place by then. If we have we are buggered.

The video released today on training, the conditioning coach says the same. Maybe we are in for a whirlwind ten days ?

I still think 3 this week including the Korean, but it's not enough unless it's a keeper, number 9 and attacking midfielder. Even then it's very very thin.

He proved that by abandoning basically everything he spent two years trying to make work here he could get a Premier League squad promoted out of the Championship. Nothing more. If we'd backed him at the time all we would have done is whizzed away our cash and still ended up in the same position.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |
