That annoyed the 'whatevers' out of me, to put it mildly. Fell behind with work for it. Apparently a similar thing happened with favour/favor earlier in the year. Only just got into Wordle - now can't get out of it....
Wordle on 16:18 - Feb 14 with 6127 views | DannyPaddox | The morning we played Peterborough in the FA Cup the wordle was ALOFT. And I thought behold for this is the wordle of God and God is telling us (via wordle) that the Rs are gonna win the Cup. It’s at times like these I wonder if there is a God at all.

There is, it’s just that she turns out to be a Peterborough fan! To be fair, the clue was in her first church named after St. Peter. It was supposed to be 100 odd miles north of London but when they saw the train connections they settled for Rome instead.

believe the inventer got a couple of million dollars for it as memory serves - there was a bit of an uproar on the socials about it when it was announced a couple of weeks ago, but the guy who designed it was a regular guy, and has basically set his family up for life. my understanding is that wordle will continue to be free, and not either paid for or paywalled, but that's just from what i've seen and read...
