Only positive spin you can put on it is we are trying to balance the wages bill so need to clarify who is going out - be it loan or permanent - in order to finalise the ins.
Plus I guess with the players given extra time off due to our Covid issue no-one is coming back into the training facilities until Wednesday. |
I just watched 10 minutes of the transfer show on Sky seems quiet across the board to me.
They do like to hype it up though unfortunately they don't send reporters outside the grounds anymore after a couple of funny but unsavoury incidents a couple of years back  |  |

Bloody Covid is everywhere, its all I'm hearing, my Brother is recovering from it, went down last Monday with it, was poorly for a good few days, still got no smell or taste and he's been double jabbed. |  |

If the 3 are to go then 2/3 of the players have to be real statements.
Think we will be well stocked in midfield with Downes, Fulton, Smith and Walsh. Think we are going to get a bit of money in with these 3 gone but it will be a completely new team this season so we need a good defender or 2 and the same goes for the strikers, attacking midfielder is very important aswell.
Going to be interesting, they get it wrong or fail to add and replenish to a decent standard then the shiit will truly hit the fan. I would be furious if I were Martin if we don't get the players in and not cover what goes out..... 3 out and 3 in doesn't cut it.
We lose Lowe, Grimes and Roberts.. We will need
2xDefenders
2xStrikers
Would say 1 attacking midfielder but with numbers going out and with money coming in then it should be 2 creative midfielders. Shall be watching with interest 😕 | |

I really liked the look of Walsh and wouldn't have let him go. But Martin's reason is that he wants him to get games at CF and he won't get that with us.
As for Whitakker, I think he needs a lot more work. OK he scored a hatrick last week, but IMO has done nothing else. He needs to get games and needs a loan.
From what I've seen it looks like MArtin prefers Cullen.
If we buy a new striker, we will have Cullen as back up to 2 solid scorers.
Hopefully.
If Lowe does go, we will need a replacement for him too. Maybe Joseph will stay in that case. | |
