Don't get me wrong, I think he's experienced enough not to run those sort of unnecessary risks. When people were on about comments he made on his radio show, I said then I couldn't care less about that, but I'd be very upset if he got himself unnecessarily banned and cost us points in the process.
Austin head butt on Grant Hall on 22:41 - Aug 18 with 3023 views | Benny_the_Ball | Early days I know but I've been distinctly unimpressed with Austin since he re-signed. He looks overweight, unfit and off the pace. His frustration at not being able to compete is boiling over. He needs to knuckle down and get up-to-speed quickly because we're going to need him at his best if we are to challenge.
Austin head butt on Grant Hall on 22:43 - Aug 18 with 2993 views | GloryHunter | Three game ban? All three home games next week withing 8 days. Gives Charlie's knee a chance to recover fully. No problem.
Austin head butt on Grant Hall on 22:46 - Aug 18 with 2960 views | LazyFan | He will get a ban, really silly and the fact he had to explain it to Warbs shows he knows he's in trouble. Warbs won't be best pleased.

Austin head butt on Grant Hall on 22:58 - Aug 18 with 2852 views | Myke | Assuming he gets a (fully deserved) three match ban and with concerns over Dykes' fitness, do we need to get another striker in on loan? I know Bonne's miss last night was laughable, but I felt last season that he was closer to Austin and Dykes in terms of a back up than Kellman. Do we need an extra body in there, just to be on the safe side?
Austin head butt on Grant Hall on 22:58 - Aug 18 with 2839 views | daveB | The ref gave a free kick for it and no booking so not sure how they can ban him. Looks bad slowed down but do think it was accidental

assuming you mean since he resigned in the summer but a bit harsh, he's only played 1 game this season

Austin head butt on Grant Hall on 23:25 - Aug 18 with 2667 views | daveB | Warnock quoted on it, ref said he saw it and thought it was a clash of heads I thought he headbutted him, when you look at the video it looks like a straightforward headbut to me. "The referee said he saw it and thought it was a clash of heads. I think when you look at it it’s a little bit different.”
Austin head butt on Grant Hall on 23:27 - Aug 18 with 2644 views | Logman | If the ref saw it and thought it was a clash of heads then we are OK

Austin head butt on Grant Hall on 23:28 - Aug 18 with 2641 views | extratimeR | Milosovic done the Middlesbrough defender, ( not sure who it was Hall maybe?) In the opening game against Fulham, got a Yellow from Keith Stroud in the First Minute, ( otherwise general opinion is it was a straight Red, it was). Last night he was at it again, Sky picked out very late high challenge on Cooper? Nobody bothered " Milosovic is a naughty boy, he plays on the edge, what an attractive side Fulham are" Nobody's bothered, ( I would mention Carvalho is fantastic, a sort of young Chair).

People keep pointing to Austin as being the main striker. I said it a few times - I think Dykes is, but Austin is key to coaching Dykes through the season. We should expect to see Austin play 25% of game time IMHO. …if Dykes and Austin are both unavailable on Saturday, we could see Kelman get his chance over 90mins. [Post edited 18 Aug 2021 23:35]

Austin head butt on Grant Hall on 23:46 - Aug 18 with 2491 views | ManinBlack | I assume this incident is what made Warnock lose it at the end with the ref for nor sending Austin off. Brilliant second half from us. With Barnsley losing at home yesterday I thought we would do them Saturday but I'm not so sure now as it depends on what side we can put out.

He seemed to lose the plot after a foul was given on Dickie and we scored the 2nd from the free kick. After the game he claimed it was about Austin

even Sints thought that wasn't a foul, but from the final angle it was a very bad challenge, went through him to get the ball.

Might be wrong but I don't think he can. Referee saw the incident and gave a free kick, you're not allowed to retrospectively punish stuff a referee has seen. He got done last year because that prck Stroud said he hadn't seen the incident, looking straight at it from a distance of about 15 feet.

Austin head butt on Grant Hall on 22:15 - Aug 18 by CliveWilsonSaid | Worst part was him trying to justify it on camera to Mark Warbarton at the end. Trying to suggest that it was more of a shoulder barge. Which if you look closely it probably was but very silly. |
If it was, (and it didn't look like it), it can't mean a ban. Let's hope he gets the benefit of any shadowy doubt. At least Hall didn't make a meal of it, which may or may not help. The other annoyance I noted was Sinton saying in the comm how good it is in these games to have experienced players on the pitch. Charlie being a charlie could have seen us down to nine, while Jojo (who was decent otherwise, without being outstanding) also committed a needless foul and got a booking at a crucial stage. It just goes to show that these old pros just say things for effect sometimes, almost as if they're mouthing clihhes that reassure us there is more order in the game than there is, when football is way more arbitrary than that. Our best player, Willock, is one of our relative babies. It'll be interesting to see the team Warbs picks/can pick for Barnsley. If Charlie's banned and Dykes is crocked, we're a little bit screwed. I would be tempted to drop Moses, draft in Kakay, and maybe take a look at McCallum, who has impressed me. Hopefully, Chair will be fresher than most, having had his feet up for a couple of games.
