England Tonight 10:43 - Jun 6 with 22276 views | DubaiR | I see Kane expected to start again. What’s the point, he is fit, played the first game. Not wonder Vardy retired, surely tonight give DCL a start, if Kane was to get injured it would weaken our chances significantly.

Dutch then, I can only remember us beating them once.

That's the one! So if we win this, it is only 4 nations with a better record against us. That's not too bad really. Can't help think that Grealish has played his way into this starting XI now. Wins so many free kicks for us and teams seem to panic when he is on the ball and it creates space for everyone else.
England Tonight on 18:46 - Jun 6 with 1834 views | TGRRRSSS | Wow surprised on France, don't think England's beaten them in my lifetime, albeit I don't think there's been that many games in my lifetime either. Maybe 5? Euro 92, and 2004 are 2 that spring to mind. A 3-0 defeat when Arsenal had loads on both sides when Arsenal's WEnger side was in it's pomp.

I'm sure we beat them in a friendly in 2015. And who could forget... Le Tournoi in 1997 :D

Today's win means that England have won the last 8 friendlies in a row, our best run since 1985/86. Of course, winning a friendly is like kissing your cousin -- it doesn't mean a thing!

England Tonight on 19:00 - Jun 6 with 1721 views | gazza1 | I think, even with Southgate as Manager, we have a good chance to win the competition. He continues to select very strange team selections but at last he now seems to understand just how good Jack Grealish is to the team.

That sort of makes us fifth in the World over the long term, which is consistent with on average making it to the quarter finals of a major competition.

That depends where you from innit But yeah a friendly is a friendly. TBH was surprised (albeit I haven't paid attention really how far away Romani have fallen since the 80's, 90's and early 200's pomp, I guess since Hagi retired particularly but they had a few other decent players in those days, and got to the semi's in 1994 USA I think.
England Tonight on 19:05 - Jun 6 with 1679 views | Malintabuk | It would be nice to think Southgate would start Grealish but I don't think he will It will be Fodden and Mount. But I would like him to start Johnstone that save was top drawer

I want both! Foden in the front 3 and Grealish in the midfield... One can dream!

Grealish will start next Sunday, 100% no question......he will fit players around him. I would expect Foden and Mount to start as well. The goalkeepers are 'much of a muchness' to be honest - great save though but he should have scored. [Post edited 6 Jun 2021 19:13]

England Tonight on 19:29 - Jun 6 with 1599 views | JamesB1979 | I hope Grealish will start but reckon it will be 2 of Sterling, Rashford and Foden. As has been said Bellingham looks class too. I hope Ward Prowse gets the spot.....that Godfrey didn’t look up to much.
England Tonight on 19:40 - Jun 6 with 1575 views | daveB | can't fit them all in, Grealish looks good but it will be him or Foden next week and hard to argue against Foden. Southates quite loyal to his players though so wouldn't be a big shock to see Rashford and Sterling start

Fully expect Rashford and Sterling to both start next Sunday as Croatia lack pace at the back but do expect England to play 2 holding midfielders to try and combat their best player on an aside am amazed no Premier League team has ever signed Perisic to me looks like a player who would be at home here
