In all honesty it was a bit like watching England v Australia. Penrith (i.e. England) had decent possession and a couple of half-chances, but made various silly mistakes. Melbourne (i.e. Australia) were clinical as hell and pounced on everything to put themselves clear in the lead. And the commentators did everything they could to make it sound like Penrith (England) were unlucky to be losing by 4 scores.
They sneaked a couple at the end but in truth they were nowhere near winning for the majority of the game. Got to admire Melbourne. |

Gus is biased (Penrith, NSW, Australia) at the best of times, but when one of his teams is in with a chance of winning something it's just ridiculous. Yesterday was appalling.

Vote has gone against Toronto to be allowed back into Super League. Not sure where all this leaves the sport as it was a real opportunity to have a North American team involved and could have opened the doorway for others like New York & Ottawa.
As for Broncos, we have lost a lot of players in the last 12 months. Good history of getting players through the academy system and I think 70% of the squad is home grown but huge holes to fill
So surprised Danny Ward hasn’t been poached by a SL team but even with Wardy at the helm, it could be a long time away from the top......unless there is a sneaky reprieve from the Toronto debacle. |  | | |
