Has anyone seen enough of this lad to understand exactly why we brought him in on loan? Couldn't get into the Leeds team and now can't get into our team either, what was the point of this loan? I have a feeling that with the Brighton lad going back, Wells going back and a possibility of West Ham recalling Hugill, and Parrot not coming here from Spurs because of Kane's injury (not that he's made the squad there) that Jack was just about the only other front running option we had to come in.
He has been very poor so far but judging by various clips on him he is a hugely talented player. Problem is that he's gone to Spurs at just the wrong time, under Jose, rather than going down to league 1, like Dele Alli and playing every week. Baffled as to why Leeds weren't allowed to keep him on. Not great for a young player like this. I suspect the plan may be to play him more as and when we are mathematically safe but as everyone else says surely we play Shodipo over him as he may well be a regular next season if BOS or Eze move on (or both).
I feel for the lad. He's obviously got a lot of talent, it's just perhaps hidden in self doubt and lack of minutes and ability to settle. [Post edited 26 Feb 2020 12:16]

I hope he is given time to settle. He is a young lad who is clearly thought of enough for Spurs to bring him down to London, he now needs to acclimatise and settle in. He hasn't had a lot of game time for us and looks like a confidence player so hopefully he will get the time he needs without people getting on his back. |  | | |

Clarke's only good performance, in the last 15 minutes against Bristol City, when he was very good, was I think on the left wing when we were going all out for an equaliser. The rest of his appearances have I believe been on the right wing. Maybe something in that?
Anyway if you have faith in the 'team' that brought us Eze, BOS, Chair and Masterton we need to keep off the lad's back and be v.patient. Who knows? | | | |

I think he was brought in as the club knew Wells might go and feared a big bid for Eze so we had an attacking option from the bench ready to go if needed. |  | | |

I agree he looks better on the left than right. You can see his confidence is low.Probably in a bit of a daze as a youngster although a very well paid daze. Finds himself signing for Spurs they send him back to Leeds and then to us on loan. In one of our last attacks last night when BOS got away and fired across from the left, trying similar to Stoke goal, Clarke was free on the right if BOS had squared it to him sure he would have buried it and that would have got his confidence up. In a way his predicament is a bit of a wake up call for our talents such as Eze and BOS to ensure when they move to a Prem club, they make a sensible choice. But sometimes these things are not always in their hands. |  | | |

Eze will have no shortage of suitors so QPR must be strong and entertain only substantial cash offers. If they don't it'll make a mockery of the buy 'em low, sell 'em high strategy. | | | |

No one has any leverage in a negotiation with QPR when it comes to Eze. This is one of the few situations in the last few years where QPR holds all of the cards in a transfer negotiation
If Levy or anyone else tries to play it too cute in the negotiations, QPR can turn to Wolves, Palace and any other team that is after a player of his talent, durability, experience, age and stats | | | |
