This has to be our ambition now
This has to be the way to go
Invest in coaching talent
Invest in youth
Invest in youth training facilities
Invest in a playing stye from kids to first team
Connect the training, philosophy and coaching from kids to first team
Accept that every year you will lose talent but sell at good prices to keep the machine above working to bring the next crop through again and again
Reject the British way of doing it and be more Dutch! Even post Brexit!

Approach Ajax
Send a team to study their ways
Officially partner with Ajax
Exchange young players to gain cultural experience
Exchange young players to get U18/U23 and first team experience
Play some show-piece games at their stadium to gain a new fanbase and revenue opportunities

Main thing is learn from them
They are quite unique
We need to be as smart

Never knowingly right.
Poll: How long before new signings become quivering wrecks of the players they were?

100%. Seem to remember that Dave Sexton did a similar thing and look what happened there. Tbf I do think that Les, Hoos & Co are trying to do that. Not yet there by a long chalk, but the direction is right.

The deadline day hysterics would be lessened with a bit of gear too.

‘Eze, Bos, and Chair going for a can of baked beans and a £10 Amazon voucher you say? Bummer man. Pass the crisps’

All except with academy rules big clubs can just poach any of our kids for nothing so all that investment is wasted.

We need great coaches etc., but we need to take the best released 17 and 18 year olds and polish them up with a loan network and in our first team, on professional contracts. Just like we’ve done with eze, lumley, chair etc.

Ah yes I think someone did a brilliant piece on this problem a couple of years ago - not written by Clive - possibly Simon someone or other?

Poll: How much should we sell Eze for. What will we get.
