Christmas Carol 22:23 - Dec 22 with 4215 views | marchamjack | That was a great first episode by the bloke who made Peaky Blinders. Proper old fashioned Xmas ghost story like. Looking forward to next 2 episodes

Christmas Carol on 22:56 - Dec 22 with 4160 views | monmouth | Yes, I wasn't too sure to start with, but was hooked by the end. Stephen Graham is the best thing to ever come out of scouseville apart from Ian Callaghan and Tommy Smith

I'm not against new takes on old classics but: There was a lot of mumbling, I couldn't hear half the dialogue. What the feck was that American cousin of Mrs Cratchit business all about? Too much irrelevant and self indulgent dialogue between Scrooge and Cratchit in the office, too much Jacob Marley back story. Guy Pearce never for a second looked or acted as if he was a miserly businessman living in 19th century London. Apart from that, it was good. [Post edited 23 Dec 2019 16:55]

The mumbling was an issue, I agree with that.

Christmas Carol on 22:04 - Dec 23 with 3623 views | Pegojack | Charles Dickens is revolving in his grave! Ebeneezer Scrooge was sexually abused by his pedo boarding school teacher, and later in life became an abuser himself, forcing his clerk's wife to (we assume) grant him sexual favours in return for cash for a life saving operation for Tiny Tim. Tonight's episode was a lot better.

Christmas Carol on 22:25 - Dec 23 with 3542 views | Luther27 | Missed last nights episode, but watched tonight's. Not sure what I expected but I found it very very atmospheric, and with modern twists which worked. I can understand why a lot may not like it, but I did.

Christmas Carol on 14:59 - Dec 24 with 3257 views | Lord_Bony | Have to say it's good damn good, Guy Pearce is superb as Scrooge. A great twist on an old classic but my favourite still remains the Jim Carrey movie 2009 Scrooge

Scrooge refuses to repent so he and Jacob Marley are damned to purgatory for eternity, wandering the earth carrying those box and chain thingies.

Yea, Ebenezer gets eternal haemeroids and his mate Jakob eternal diarrhea. Not a good ending.
