Coaches on 12:16 - Sep 10 by pioneer | alternatives are drive to timperley, sale or stretford, lots of free street parking around and get tram from there. I have done that for premier league games no trouble and attendence will probably be less than for those games. |
Park outside your own bleedin' house! There are free car parks at Brooklands, Navigation Road and Stretford stations, plus one (I think is free) opposite Stretford Arndale off the A56. Stretford has the advantage that, after the game, it's probably quicker to walk back along the A56 than going down to the OT tram stop and queuing for a tram back to your car.
Coaches on 09:06 - Sep 14 with 3350 views | flyerdale | 14 coaches going as of yesterday afternoon when I booked on.
Coaches on 09:22 - Sep 14 with 3308 views | rochedale | One suggestion, drive down, park at chiquito’s near the Copthorne, have a pint in the matchstick man and walk over to the ground. Free parking and easy access away from the ground post match.

Coaches on 11:17 - Sep 15 with 2695 views | DaleiLama | For anyone who doesn't want to walk far due to mobility issues you can park on Tescos over the road for a tenner. Short walk but some steps to navigate down to ground.

Thanks DL. Do you know where to pay it - is it at Customer Services?

On Saturday, there was a "mobile pay station" set up in the car park as you drive in - just keep driving straight until you see them - few chaps with high vis jackets on collecting the cash and giving receipts for Match Day parking. This is done in conjunction with Tesco, but my g/fs dad told me he had been given parking tickets (wrongly) on occasions. He said always keep the parking receipt. When wrongly issued tickets have been challenged they have always been cancelled. I didn't get a ticket on Saturday and I'll be using the car park again for the Dale game as he's had a couple of new knees so appreciates the shorter walk.

Coaches on 17:05 - Sep 15 with 2410 views | Meanwood_dale | As mentioned earlier in the thread, the multi-storey car park at MediaCityUK is a good option. The car park has over 2,300 spaces, 24/7 security, CCTV and offers match day parking at £10 for 5 hours. The ticket can be pre-paid on arrival meaning that there are no queues when leaving the car park. From the car park it is just a couple of minutes along Broadway and you are on the M602, avoiding all of the match traffic closer to the stadium. The car park is a 15 min walk to the stadium. Once parked up there are pub and food options at MediaCityUK - The Dockyard Pub The Botanist, The Alchemist, Wagamama, Prezzo. Below is a link with directions etc. Remember to prepay your ticket once parked up to avoid any queues at the pay stations when leaving. http://www.mediacityuk.co.uk/visit-us/getting-here/

That's the exact one I mentioned, all the lads I know who've got/had season tickets there for years all use that car park, a decent enough walk for a lot of traffic to shift and as you say you're on the right side of Trafford Park for getting away after the match.
