Beast From The East. on 16:54 - Feb 27 by Watford_Ranger | London Overground operating from Shep Bush to Clapham but Southern (I think) cancelled them all due to “forecasted poor weather” which sounds suspiciously like an opportunity to save a few quid and just not bother running any trains. There’s been no snow since a light flurry several hours ago. Cnts. |
They were operating about half the usual Straford to Clapham Junction trains and they'd cancelled all the Stratford to Richmond trains (usually one every 12 minutes) when I got on one earlier today - which was utterly ludicrous... there was barely a dusting of snow.... the announcements cited 'due to the severe weather forecasts'. FORECASTS! You can't base your bloody train service on forecasts FFS! Total joke and total overreaction to be honest. No reason to cancel any at all in reality.

Beast From The East. on 11:14 - Feb 28 with 2378 views | Discodroids | Snow river deep mountain high here in leigh on sea today. ie about 2 inches. Went to the boozer yesterday, The Mayflower, and got lumbered with a bloke who i felt a bit sorry for as he seemed a bit lonely but then realised i had made a mistake of some note as it became clear that he was a social castratus of some impressive standing. Blinking in the sunlight, nervous ticks wracking his calcium deficient body. He looked more suited to be sitting in portakabin munching on a potted meat mighty white sandwich employed as a cost accountant producing time and motion studies that will be thrown in the bin left unseen in a briar pipe manufacturers, than a seasoned boozer on the tap for a free pint. The sort of gadge that everyone avoids at the christmas party. The sort of gade that apologises to an office chair if he bumps into it. the sort of gadge that plays air guitar at the office xmas Party throwing his head back in ecstasy as he mimes to the blue oyster cult before vomiting in the ashtray and displaying his child like meatus to the office junior after a can of skol. It all became so very clear when he told me he was a chelsea fan. meeting him at 2 today for another beer, nice bloke actually.

Beast From The East. on 12:35 - Feb 28 with 2268 views | Lblock | Coming down nicely here in Ealing Pitch inspection at 5:50am told me that a venture into Liverpool Street was a bad move today plus the Piccadilly Line was riddled with signal failures. So instead it's WFH which has been great as I managed to walk the hounds in one of the local parks and that was superb. A slight issue when the 11 month pup decided to do his Robin Cousins impression on the frozen lake and the ice gave way beneath him. As I began stripping down to my Johnnie Squeezemullers the four legged beast decided he could do an adequate impression of a sea lion and managed to drag himself in. Plenty going on now back home and plenty of work to do but it's currently blowing a blizzard, I'm at home tomorrow and we have a lovely bottle of Shiraz on the kitchen side....

The Leigh on Sea contingent (4 of em) have all failed to attend class today so you'll have some company DD. You may well bump into Dave the drunk, he's certain to make the most of his WFH day. Holds the record for most pints in an hour, being 7.5 of Guinness back in 2006. Anyway you'll get on I think, Spurs fan though.

7.5 in an hour.. He must be a non marine broker!. My Mrs is off today castigating me relentlessly for my failure to get this partition wall and bi fold doors put in. The Builders have postponed for 2 weeks!. It really enrages me when I can't do a job around the house, (im ok at general painting decorating wallpapering etc), and 'er indoors states that 'we'll have to get a man in'. I feel like john bercow when sally has him singing for his pease pudding supper as john seeks refuge and sexual solace in the wicker laundry basket under the heavily soiled pantyhose assaulting his senses , while watching through the weave as sally is taken to uncharted string of pearls orgasmic heights by engaging in bumper to bumper sex with DJ clinton oliver. edit : ive been told that Luncheon is to be taken at the grove restaurant which is at the top of my road. Beast From The East. on 13:35 - Feb 28 with 2150 views | 2Thomas2Bowles | Here's a round-up of the problems affecting the London Underground and Overground. Bakerloo line: The northernmost stretch of the line, from Queen's Park to Harrow and Wealdstone, has severe delays Central line: There are severe delays on both the east and west ends of the Central line from North Acton to Ealing Broadway/West Ruislip and from Leytonstone to Epping District line: Minor delays between Edgware Road and all three westbound destinations Metropolitan line: Minor delays between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Uxbridge because of a signal failure Piccadilly line: Severe delays because of earlier emergency engineering work at King's Cross Overground: No trains are running between Euston and Willesden Junction. There are severe delays between Willesden Junction and Watford Junction and also Barking to Gospel Oak. Passengers traveling southbound from Surrey Quays will also be hit with delays, as well as between Stratford and Richmond, and Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction

We had about 2cm in Bracknell and the issue was not the snow, it was the local council's ongoing mission to make my house the Berkshire equivalent of Juneau, Alaska, i.e. not accessible by road. Good luck organising your footer session, I am running an 8v8 match tomorrow and I am expecting chaos. RFA
